Beer Run is a fabulous place. Clicking through each category I didnít rate them that high, but it really is the overall where it excels.

There is a lot packed into this little shop/deli/bar in Charlottesville. The deli produced a great sandwich to accompany my beers at the bar, and I could not leave without buying some bottles to go. The beer aisles are cramped and well-stocked. There are some book cases holding singles and a cold can open fridge, a multi-door 6-pack cooler, and a bottle singles cooler. The service was a bit unresponsive, partly because it was shift change.

What a great place! From talking to the bartender, the place started as a beer store that they decided to add a restaurant/bar in the middle! They have 15 craft beers on tap and PBR, though to be fair, if you actually order the pabst, they give you the "Iím worried for you sanity" look. This clearly shows that they care about their patrons, which is nice. The beer store has a great craft selection covering styles both foreign and domestic. They naturally do growlers and build your own sixers so you can take some of that cask beer that you had been enjoying home with you.The food is beer inspired comfort food (The egg white omelet was nice).

This is my kind of place. Itís like someone had a beer store and said to themselves. "Hey self, you know what would be really awesome. A bar right in the middle of my beer store!" And thatís pretty much the vibe. They have a nice patio on the outside. On the inside half of the space is for their beer store which is almost all craft beer split between regional, national ,and international brands, and the other half the bar and restaurant area. They had 13 good taps, a cask, and PBR although when I ordered it the bartender looked at my like I smacked her mother which was oddly comforting., They donít do flights but you can buy beer in 10 ounce glasses. The food is mostly comfort food made with local and often organic ingredients and they have a special Sunday Brunch menu. (I really enjoyed the Allagash Fish Tacos.) If I lived in Charlottesville I would definitely be a regular at this place. Keep in mind they share a parking lot with the restaurant next door so parking can be scarce. Many people end up parking on the nearby street.

Cool place. Ate outside, had a few beers. The food was local and definitely fresh. Then went inside and sampled a few. Nice selection, passable prices.
Definitely a great place to pick up a few brews in C-Ville.

Pretty much my go to pub in Cville. The service can be a bit hit and miss at times, but generally it is good. They have a good selection, despite the PBR, and with a handpull that rotates regularly there is always a reason to go back.
Update: I felt I was a touch harsh with the service mark previously and have seen a marked improvement on that front. I guess it helps being a semi-regular. But I love it when I go into a pub and the barman, without prompting, puts a sample in front of me based on knowing my taste in beer.

Parking here is an absolute nightmare if you go anytime after 5:00 (I should note I have never been before 5:00) Food is good, Bottle selection is great for C-ville, or most anywhere for that matter! Service/Staff are very friendly but a little slow. A perfect place to stop in with a few friends if you have a few minutes to have beer! I go every chance I get when Iím on that end of town.

I have to agree, parking here sucks, but it is worth finding a spot. The selection of beers on tap is decent and they have one of the better selections of bottles you will find in Virginia. In fact they have me wondering why my local beer store doesnít stock some of this stuff! Food was okay but the staff seemed quite flustered and slow. At 3:00 p.m. If you canít hack it then, it might be time to hang it up. Still, nice overall experience.

Large bottle selection, about as good as you can get in VA, with some bottles chilled and ready to drink on-premises (beware the somewhat-too-high ícapping feeí though). Food is delicious but a bit overpriced and there are portion size issues with some dishes, though the majority are fine. Service is usually a bit slow though - they are a victim of their own success here - but it is friendly enough and they make it easy to split checks. A dozen rotating taps though 4 are reserved for macros. The bartenders are usually great and will give you samples.
