Same ownership as Arendsnest. More modern feel. Big beer list Ė 30 on tap and just short of 100 in bottle but itís all US or US-styled (that basically means Scandinavian and BrewDog). However, the beers are pretty much the ones that are in circulation all round Europe, so no great rarities for anyone who has had a lot of US beers Ė just 2 new ones for me. However, I did feel the need for a hop fix from time to time during my week stay, so dropped in on a few occasions. Never seemed very busy. Not cheap. Staff are enthusiastic and friendly. Quite difficult to give a score because, whilst itís undoubtedly a very good bar, itís not really what I come to Amsterdam for.

Great idea, staff who know exactly what they are talking about. But.... itís never very busy, I donít see how it manages a decent turnover (not that there is anything wrong with the quality). The draught selection does tend to stick to a general set of US brewers - and more European stuff is making itís way in.

Our favourite pub in Amsterdam. Great patio, but we actually liked the atmosphere better inside. Tons of bottles with a focus on American craft brew, but we stuck mainly to the draft list. Barman was great: personable, and helpful as we picked out new (to us, anyway) beers to try. We spent most of the afternoon there, chatting with the barman and other patrons. We even tried a Westvleteren 12. Great music too: Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, etc. Made us feel right at home.

Great selection with 30 taps with mostly US beers. Excellent bottle selection as well. Again dominated by US beers. Very good and knowledgeable service. Nice interior and a few tables outside. Friendly atmosphere with many beer geeks.

Great selection of harder to get beers, and all the ones I had seemed quite fresh, which must be hard with such an extensive tap list. Inside it wasnít too crowded, the few tables outside were well filled. Quite an international crowd, made for good conversation about beer. Also nice to meet Potjebier in his natural habitat. I quite like it and will go back for sure when in Amsterdam again.

Nice place. Offcourse stiff prices due to the long travel for all the american beers. Staff was ok. Selection very good, allthough i missed a few of the greatest american beers. Plenty on tap and gonzo aged on bourbon barrels for 3 euro was awesome (not 100% sure of price).
