This is a very nice beer bar in the Dam Square vicinity that specializes in American and Scandinavian beers. There is a short bar in front of 20 some taps dispensing mosly Amnerican, but also Dutch and Belgian beers. I was able to find some great American beers that I cannot get in Northern California,.The barkeep was friendly and helpful and the owner, Peter, showed up just before I left. He started this bar aftger visiting many of the better beer places in California. His original bar, t’Arendsnest, was already a great Dutch beer bar, so this is a logical expansion. Great ambience, great beer.

I’d heard so much about this bar but when I finally visited I didn’t find what I expected. Not so american beers, both bottles and taps and the price for most of the bottles were too high. However, 2-3 dishes we tried were weird but good. Despite all of the above I would definetely go back!

Supposed to be an American Bar - OK quite a good selection as far as bottles go - though still only a far cry from the best American breweries/according to Rafebeer/. 30 taps on the bar leave a much less favourable impression - no IPA / yes , there were IIPAs from Europe/ during my four visits on consecutive days, and generally only a few beers from US, - and the most serious flaw - one cooler for 30 /THIRTY/ taps , which means they serve pilsner at the same temperature as barley wine. The barman defended this incredible idea /considering how much they charge for the beer - their prices are the highest in Europe except Norway/ by saying it was very expensive to have , say, 5 coolers ,and they could not afford it. Ridiculous, I think. Still, the only place to try the beers from US you haven’t had a chance to sample in your place.

Cosy bar, friendly staff. Large choice of beers, but I’d like to see more European beers.

Nice situation and very good beer selection, mainly import. When I was there the music and the ambiance was very nice too but the prizes was a little bit expensive.

Quite large selection of mainly US beer on tap. Rather modern interior. Not overly busy the times I’ve been here despite the central location. Well worth a visit.

Probably one of the best beer bars I’ve been to. Selection is amazing. Firstly they are more american focused but they have an abundance of Dutch and Belgian beers to choose from. 30 taps with corresponding tap heads which is cool. Some fantastic offerings from BA To Ol to Green Flash to random local offerings and collaborations. Service was impeccable. Bartender told you what the beers were like honestly rather than talking up every beer they currently had on. Great vibe to the place. Quite dark and dingy in a good way. On top of the tap list they also have over 100 bottles and a really cool ’aged beer’ list. Includes stuff like Westy and Dark Lord and Utopias which are very pricey as to be expected. Fantastic place!
