80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20

This is my favourite beer place in Toronto. Very knowledgeable staff, with a great beer selection and interesting things in their cellar. This place introduced me to the wonderful world of beer. A great place to learn since there is a detailed description for each beer, recommended beer pairings, and failing all that, the staff are very happy to help you pick out something. Phenomenal food, especially since Michelle is back in the kitchen.

Simply stunning upscale bistro. Food is great and beer bottle list very surprising with vintages and 5 year verticals available. Tap list is a little mundane. Pricing is a bit high, but inline with the trendy atmosphere. A must for a nice night out.

I stumbled across this gem in the hopes of replacing the once great Volo with something more classy. This place is fabulous, and I’m slowly becoming a regular. The staff are avid beer enthusiasts (not just reading from a cue card) and so down to earth - not to mention all of the them are gorgeous, yet approachable and darn quick. The atmosphere is so stylized and classy. I can’t speak too much for the food because I go for the beer, and when I dip into the food-stash I’m usually quite plastered (will attempt more objective deduction later). The selection is extensive and reasonably priced. The only potential drawback is that given it’s location on King there are a lot of pompous and beer-ignorant business men that go there for image - but some of them are quite nice (beware of snakes). All in all, this place has a LOT of personality and charm. They know what they’re doing, and they do it well.

The selection is the largest I’ve seen in Toronto. Food is great. Service is great. A win all around if you are downtown Toronto and looking to get your beer on.

I was very impressed by the Beer Bistro. It is a very classy place, with a very comfortable bar area and an inviting dining room. We sat at a table in the main room. Fairly extensive tap and bottle list , with an extra cellar beer menu. Prices were not cheap, but not out of line with the quality of the space. All the food sampled at our table was very good, I especially enjoyed the Kobe beef tacos and the mussels , but everything looked great and my party was very satisfied with their food and beers. Definitely worth a visit or three.

A nice, cozy bistro in downtown Toronto. It is a hopping lunch spot - we arrived around 12:00 on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was fairly empty - within 20 minutes it was completely packed with business people having lunch. There is a small bar area, with seats facing the sidewalk outside, and a dining area. The tap list includes local beers with a decent selection. The food is excellent, on the pricier side though. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was excellent. I could imagine myself spending the day here drinking beer and watching the street traffic. Great spot!
