Nice location and place, good selection of beers from the main producer countries, though quite a bit pricey. Food is ok, restricted to a few appetizers and meals. Needs some renovation on the upper floor and toilets. Music at low volumes could be nice.

They have a big fat selection of imports, but the day I went they only had two taps and one of them was not very good (a somewhat stale pils). Food is ok, just as service. A bit pricey though.

Last week I visited this beautiful beer spot during my stay in Rio. The pub is housed in a refurbished building in Botafogo neighborhood. Ground and 1st floor. Nice decoration, wood and stone around. Warm atmosphere. The owners are beer enthusiasts and they have passed their passion to the staff too. 3 drafts at that moment (Heineken, La Trappe Quad., Roter APA). Around 200 bottles with the best Brazilian Micros and some great imported beers, such as the Americans Rogue, Anderson Valley, Flying Dog, and European beers, like Brewdog, Delirium, La Trappe, Meantime, Gouden Carolous. Food is also offered and the plates looked appealing, though I didnít taste any. The prices are ok for Rio standards (as in general especially imported brews are quite expensive due to over-taxes). Probably, the best beer place in Rio. Must visit.

Brand new little place in Rio and itís called Hideout for a reason as itís a little hard to find once you get to the building. It was a little room on the second floor but I was told they will be opening the larger bottom area soon. I met one of the owners and we talked for an hour or so. He really knows his beers and knows how to serve them. I didnít try the food so I canít rate it. The beer selection is really good with a great mix of local Brazilian stuff and imports. I gave full marks for value because it has the cheapest prices Iíve found in Rio. Seriously, sometimes R$3-4 cheaper than everywhere else. Well worth the visit for that reason alone. The owner also mentioned they may be getting some pretty special beers on tap too. I sense big things coming up for this place.
