Central location close to the palace, but on a sort of quiet street, just around the corner from De Bierkoning. Very American-inspried interior and decorations, with red leather sofas etc. The owner Peter (who also runs Arendsnest) is very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Nice variety of American brews and some nice European ones as well. 30 beers on tap with 25 of them of great quality and InBev stuff on the other 5. Prices are alright, even good considering most is imported, and the central location.

Excellent new US styled beerhouse in the centre of Amsterdam close to the Dam itself. Easily reached by trams 1 and 5 from Centraal Station. Modern interior that one or two may find a tad sterile, but plenty of bottles, mirrors and neon signs to decorate. Impressive range of thirty mainly US beers on tap and over eighty bottles from around the
world. Friendly helpful bar staff conversant in fluent English; and on my visit of Friday evening 19th March the pub was buzzing. Music was at a volume to allow hearty conversation and there was a mix of UK and US visitors and regulars from the city who have made it their local. This bar is a great new addition to the Amsterdam beer circuit and I would recommend a visit.

ottima selezione, ma ho trovato un pò freddo l’ambiente e il servizio poco curato. Porbabilmente il fatto di averlo trovato vuoto non ha aiutato, ma mi aspettavo molto di più da questo posto

’Europes first US Beer bar’ apparently, and a very decent selection they have too. Delighted to see Great Divide Hercules on tap and a wide and well chosen range of bottles. Service seemed friendly. Navigating the spiral staircase to the toilets could be interesting in the midst of a heavy session. One minor quibble is the presence of a Bud mirror and light as part of the decor. Come on guys get rid of this vile CRAP ! I felt like asking if I could smash the mirror and pay for the privilege, but was too scared about 7 years bad luck....Well worth a look.

A bar started by Peter van den Arend of the Arendsnest so you know quality is assured. Especially for American beers. No Bud but good breweries like Left Hand, Uncommon etc. People know about beer and the selection on tap is great, let alone the bottles. In the middle of the city too.

My first intro to U.S micro,s on tap and was not dissapointed..Too start the 20> taps had me reeling but Raging Bitch won the first courtesy of a taster from Stef who was a wealth of help and knowledge on my tastings..
Got some Great Divide Hercules & some Oak Aged Yeti and got fuzzy from there..Had two return visits over the weekend and was made most welcome and wish id tried some more than Bitch & Hercules.. but hey it was fun !

Decent range of Us beers but the same ones that seem to crop up across Europe ... little Pricey but nothing OTT for the selection... Well worth a visit, if you havent crossed paths with the Range of beers... and still worth a visit for a good beer in pleasant environment ... I’ll certainly be back. I was back. had a great time

OK - being an american, my rating will skew down a little, since I’ve had, or have access too, most every beer here. But (and it’s a big but) - for a selection of American beers in Amsterdam (or really, anywhere in that part of the world) - it’s really, really good. Most all of the ’big boys; of American craft are represented. You’d be hard-pressed to find this variety in most bars in the States, really. Atmosphere is a little ’new wave’ for my taste, but if you’re looking for American craft in Amsterdam - this is your place. Prices are high if you’re used to getting these beers locally, but not horrible given the location. We had Alesmith IPA, GD Hercules and some others tat I’m forgetting and all were quite fresh and not ridiculously priced given the distance from source.
