When Iím at this place I feel like Iím somewhere else rather than Southtown San Antonio. Basically just an outdoor beer garten that is only open on the weekends and for special events. They offer a good selection of mostly import lagers to go along with the atmosphere. The beer is usually fresh as they seem to go through a lot of it during the fest season. You can bring your mug or stein to drink out of as a lot of people seem to do. They do serve food here during certain events and the food is very good. Everything from soft pretzels and potato pancakes to brats and sourkraut and the Leberkase (which is fantastic with the caramelized onions and cheese).

Good place to get a good number of German Beers on tap. Beer Garden is great with a definite German atmosphere. There is no table service though and to get beer or food you have to go to the bar or the food area and pick it up yourself. This place has a definite European atmosphere as children are allowed, which is great because a few of my friends have problems getting baby sitters so they bring their kids along. Itís a nice change. Check thier website before you go though, as it is only open to the public on certain occasions.
