Japanese owned modern style brewpub

Big, impersonal place seems designed for office meetings. There was even a dry erase board in the bar area. Nobody in there during the day. They do have some outdoor seating but it’s located in sort of an executive residential highrise enclave where boring corporate types live. Not really that inviting or compelling a place to drink and is out of the way from anything interesting so not really recommended unless you’re a total ticking whore. There are so many better places to drink in Beijing and better beer so why bother? None of the beers were particularly good when we were there, in fact they were pretty bland, so they might have gone downhill. Oh if you do decide to come, it’s tricky to find from the subway. If you are facing Novotel, go right down the small street past the guarded gate. At the end take a left. Then at the T-junction take a right. Then you will see a row of shops catering to the local highrises. Go left down that row of shops and you will soon see BOKB on your left.

ikea furniture tucked away in a housing estate,,,weizen excellent,but not convivial at all

A quite large shiny modern brewpub situated jus tnorth of the the crossing of North 3rd Ring Road and Capital Airport Expressway amidst a newly contructed area with high rise buildings. The place was empty when we visited on a monday night. The service was as always in China very attentive and friendly. English is spoken here. As this is the only brewpub in Beijng I know if that serves anything other than lagers or wheat beers the selection here is more interesting than elsewhere. The beers are mild, clean and flawless.
