The selection is vast, and different from other mail order shops. The physical address is not really relevant, since it’s just the guy’s house.

Overpriced? Yeah. Bad communication? Yep. Breakage in transit? Yep. Lack of concern for customers? Seems like it. Too bad they have a good selection.

I haven’t dealt with Belgian Shop for a while, but I have placed a few orders with them in the past. My experience with them has been great. I hope it hasn’t changed, because I’d like to get into ordering from them again. This may be one of the only places to order Westy beers from, that I know of (although I haven’t done much searching lately). The prices seem a little expensive, but well worth it, because you’re getting top quality beers.

As others have said, great selection, fairly expensive, slow shipping. I’m surprised to read of broken bottles; my order was packaged with great care.

This is a convenient website to order Belgians you can’t easily get in other places - Westvleteren, etc. The email communication was usually prompt but not always clear and there were a few beers that I ordered that were out of stock. Still, I’d order here again.

Love the selections but the price is really up there. Service is a bit lacking as the response to inquiry was nil. Great selection though, did I mention that? Shipping to the states will ass rape you. FYI

I placed my order on 04/12/10 (2 bottles of Westy). I recieved my paypal receipt but no other confirmation emails. I had read that shipping would take a while so I was not too worried. On 04/28/10, my package arrived! (Signature was required). I was surprised since I never received a shipping confirmation, but I was so happy to have it. The contents were very securely packaged. Overall, I am very happy with my experience.

Throw an order as a X-mas gift for myself (2009). The seledction was pretty good on the fruit side. Shipping was a bit expensive and long (time wise.) Stock wasn’t correct on the webpage, one was out of stock, but the lady was friedly and helpfull - unluckely I picked a beer that was of (not of date). packagning and lableing was excelent - not a word of beer anywere. The swedish customs dosen’t like privat import :-).

Ordered 12 bottles in autumn 2002. I don’t know where to star from so I’ll start from the beginning. Ambience: What to write about ambience on web beer shop? Nothing (because of that rate is 1). Service: I got the package after two weeks, considering the year that was reasonable time. Selection: Both now and then beer lists are very good. Food: I don’t like cheese, and you can find lots of Belgian chocolate in Croatia, so why to order it. Overall: Lots of great Belgian beers but too high shipping fee.
