Big place with their own beer brewed by Brouwerij De Leckere. Food was nice enough, but a tad to crowdy and busy for my taste.

Huge hipsterplace focussed on mainstream Belgian-brews. Fantastic building with a lovely garden. Surprisingly, they had a beer like Flying Dog Raging Bitch on tap. Decent.

A very large beer cafe in the center of Leiden. Nicely furnished, large outdoor seating area with wifi. Selection of Belgian beers is about average for Dutch beer cafes.

Large café/retaurant in a former hospital in the centre of town. Suited for larger groups. Can be busy and loud in the evenings, quieter during weekdays afternoon. Food is good but the menu hardly ever changes, beer list is not adventurous. Not cheap. Bonte Koe is close by, as is the Bierwinkel.

Very big Belgian theme Biercafé. Big patio backyard. Great selection (of Belgian), best in Leiden. Good service. Rather expensive. Quiet on Monday afternoon. Free Wi-Fi.

A beautiful space with lots of room and a patio out back which is perfect in warm weather. If you have money to spend and you want food and a few good drinks, this is a great place. If you’re looking to taste an excellent variety of beers, this is not the place. Although they have an extensive list, it’s not unique and it’s pretty overpriced. Worth checking out if you’re in Leiden.
