Love the little nook and cranny vibe of this place. Prices are almost exorbitant ie 1400 yen for Rodenback Grand Cru. A nice place to go for special occasions when splashing a little cash is the least of your concerns.

Very very small (bar only seats 5 and youíd better be thin), but really cool atmosphere -- dark, wooden, mysterious feeling, with an extremely tall ceiling and tables hidden in dark nooks only reachable via very steep staircases. The glasses are kept on the extremely high wall behind the bar, forming a sparkling backdrop.
Beer selection is quite good, though expensive. The bar-tenders know a lot about Belgian beer and can provide good advice and pointers to interesting things not on the menu.
The Food selection is sparse, but itís very delicious (especially the Oyster sausage!)
In the same chain as Frigo, but thereís no comparison really -- Belgo is a much cooler place if you can handle the size; Frigo feels corporate and unfriendly by comparison.
Has Michael Jacksonís signature scrawled on the wall, which has got to be good for a few points... :-)

Easy to find, same selection as Frigo, Favori and so on.
Pretty good, but not anything really special. Nice selection of gueze and lambics.

Sister pub of Frigo (Shinjku) and Favori (Ginza). Definetely have some rare stuff. They also seemed to have stopped with a stupid policy of not letting non-members of the pub buy their specially (very rare) imported brews. I prefer Frigo because its bigger and better for groups.

CMUBEERMAN found this while we were out wandering. It was quite a pleasant environment, good selection of beer, but very expensive.

This place is pretty cool Quite expensive, but they had a decent selection. They also have some really bad ass glassware and...unfortunately...a few bad ass beers that they wonít sell.

From Shibuya station, take the East exit and turn right (you will be walking along Meiji Dori). Go straight over the first road (on the crossover) bridge, keeping on the right side. Belgo will be less than a block forward.
Iím happy to be able to check the "rare beers" box. Unless youíre either Oakes/Per/Michael Jackson or youíre FROM Belgium, itís a guarantee that youíll see unfamiliar lables here. The bottles are mostly from Belgium though there are a few other Euro/US micros. Bonus feature: a new rotating tap every week! Also they put a LOT of pride in their glassware, their collection behind the counter is impressive.
Bad side: prices are 2-3x what youíd pay in stores; most of the bottles are 1000 Yen or more.
