My favourite brewpub in the city. Lovely converted loft space. Awesome covered patio out front that is doubles the seating.
You can’t go wrong with any of Bellwoods beers, but if you don’t fancy drinking one of theirs, they have an extensive and impressive list of bottles.
Food is great. The steak is one of the best I’ve had in the city. The cheese board is also one of the best I’ve had. The menu changes seasonally, giving a nice change of pace every now and again.
My only complaint is how tiny the indoor space is, making for potentially long waits in the cold months.

Great spot-- not a lot of space and very popular, but worth the wait. Cool vibe, interesting layout (we sat in the loft area overlooking the big steel tanks), great food, amazing beers. Despite it being mega-busy, our server was attentive and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

Yeah, this place is no joke. Very cool ambiance with a main bar area with tables and a long, narrow mezzanine acting as almost a 2nd floor bar overlooking the main floor and the brewhouse. No standing at the bar which I still will never understand unless you’re a legit restaurant, but nevertheless only waited 15 minutes or so for a couple seats upstairs. Beers were excellent, service was prompt and very friendly, and to go bottles were a bit expensive ($8/500 mL) but right there and convenient to purchase next door. Go here.

Une boutique et une chaleureuse terrasse attachés à un restaurant rempli de magnifiques gens et liquides. La cuisine et le service sont sans taches et à l’image de celle produite par la marque de commerce. Un incontournable pour l’Amérique entière.

Have visited on numerous occasions. Brewpub machinery is in the back with limited seating inside and upstairs, but they’ve added a patio with heaters -- as a result, this place is constantly packed. Delicious beers are usually available, several on tap and many more in bottles (though the latter can get expensive), and some events provide even better offerings with cask beers. In the summer there were fun jazz bands playing amongst the brewing equipment, behind the glass! (Side note: Love the tap handles at the bar, they use all sorts of different wood.) Food is sometimes strange but usually tasty and a lot of it is made or cured in-house. Brewery bottleshop is right next door, plus they sell t-shirts and other paraphernalia. This is certainly one of the top beer bars in Toronto, and they’re expanding soon! This location is right on the TTC bus route down from Ossington so it’s easy to get to for travellers. Definitely worth a visit, and good luck finding a seat.

Great concept of opening the garage door to make a nice patio, sitting out there while they are BBQ’ing is wonderful. Always have some good new beers, bottle shop next door for 4 packs, nice simple but hearty food. Great place to visit before going to Bellwoods park!

Visited at the opening on October 10th, 2014. Located on a relatively quiet street (except for some buses), a nice eclectic and small brewpub, with a terrasse that double its size. A large garage door separate the indoor part and the terrasse, so when its open it has an open air feeling, it was great on that day. The decor is recycled furniture and items, really nothing flashy here. There is a mezzanine where you can watch the action in the brewery room while you eat and drink. The service was great, fast and knowledgeable, very friendly and just like at Indie Alehouse, they gave me water with out me asking for it. I had two beer, an IPA and a Baltic porter, very interesting but well made. I also ate some bread from a local bakery with some homemade butter, very delicious. The bottle shop next door is quite nice, with opening hours different from the brewpub. It’s a short walk from Dundas from the north and Queen from the south. This is a kick ass brewpub, a must visit!

Stopped in right after landing in Toronto. Holy hell is this city a traffic nightmare! The brewery itself is a nice little place, simple and unassuming. Fronted by an outdoor patio, with the bar and brewing equipment "inside" on warmish days the big garage door is open and its just one big open space. Tap list was good, with 8 of their own beers and a couple of guest taps. They also had a reserve bottle list (on-site only) which were very expensive but sounded interesting, plus a list of guest bottles. Prices are high; perhaps normal for the city, but high to my eyes. Waitstaff is friendly. A shortlist of eclectic and very expensive food that I did not try. Worth a visit, but nothing amazing.

Great outdoor terrace, friendly staff at both the bar and bottle shop. Tasters at 3$ a pop. Nice stripped down aesthetic. My favorite brewery in Toronto - I will be back.

Stopped by for a too-brief visit while changing planes enroute BRU to DCA, accompanied by Kyle, who I met at Bar Hop. We arrived before 5, so our first stop was the bottle shop next door. It should probably be listed as a separate place, because it has different hours, and it’s kinda separate, in the sense that you can’t by bottles and drink them next door in the brewpub. Anyway, the bottleshop was a bit disappointing since they only had two bottles on offer, whereas the website listed a dozen or so. The brewpub side more than made up for that - a dozen or so beers on tap included two or three guests, and there were a lot of interesting bottles as well. Service was prompt and friendly, they even arranged a taxi to get me back to the airport. 15 barrel brew set-up in the back, small fermentation vessels, bar and picnic tables up front with a small patio. I’ll have to return when I can spend a decent amount of time here.
