This is a combination beers shop and bar, both of which are excellent. There is a great selection of beer in the store, including many hard-to-find brews. The drinking area is in an attached room, and is spacious, yet cozy. There was a friendly barkeep and a pretty good selection of taps.

Surely a must visit in Portland on almost anyone’s list. Bottle shop is pretty small and the bar area is as well. But they pack a lot of stuff in here.
The draft list was quite solid and included some interesting, special beers from all over Oregon. A few imports, and some less interesting/standard beers. The bottle selection is outstanding. All sorts of beers from all over the state, meads, ciders, ice ciders, fruit wines...you can get pretty much anything here. Knowledgeable staff, too.

Visited in the afternoon and loved it. Really nice feel to the place and like the fact that you just grab bottles from the shop and take them to the bar to drink. Decent tap list and massive bottle selection. In my top 3 of Portland places I think. Will definitely go back next time I’m in town. Atmosphere felt almost Belgian. Wasn’t very busy during the day, but guess it’s busy in the evening. Another must visit.

What more to say? A place where you can go grab a great tap beer and then peruse the bottle shop to find what you need. Staff was helpful and asked if I needed anything along with providing recommendations. Great place.

a little too crowded every time I’ve been there and a little out of the way, but usually a fantastic bottle and tap selection.

Visited a while back when in Portland. Not generally my type of place turned out to be a decent experience during my visit. They have a nice tap list and a ridiculous amount of bottles to choose from, if you can’t find you may not have been looking. Reasonably priced for the West Coast and overall a good place to find any variety of beer on a planet due to their unbelievable bottle list. Along with Hair of the Dog a must visit location while in Portland.

Great selection of bottles to-go and some really cool taps. Small cafe style setting to enjoy drafts in and friendly service. Picked up six different Heater allen beers, some Tilquin, and three different Logsdon bottles when I went. A can’t miss when in Portland.

One of the best bottle/tap shops I have been in. Been here many times over the years. Seen the addition of draft and the expanded seating/outdoor area. Beer is well cared for, selection is probably the best in town for bottles, draft line up is solid as are the prices. Excellent service as well for the most part, although it can me miss in the bar. A regular stop for me when in town.

This place is wonderful. Over 1,000 bottle/cans -- 1,201, or so they say. All well-selected and kept in good condition. Very good service and knowledgeable staff. Can get a bit busy, though, as this shop is on everyone’s radar. Cheaper prices for paying in cash. Regular beer events -- tap takeovers and "Meet the Brewers," etc. Good taproom, with flights.
The one shop you need to visit in Portland.
