I like Belmont Station a lot, you can get a pint and then peruse the bottle selections and stock up. My one complaint is that I get lost, probably not there fault but the place is a bit tight and overwhelming especially if you get a half dozen or so guys in there. Meet the Brewer nights get hectic, there are way too many people stuffed into the little shop but it is still enjoyable. Free beer and discounts? Hard to beat.

Visited on a Monday evening in November 2015. Ballast Point tasting on sat had a couple of beers at the bar before trying some of their wares. Tap room is a decent size with a great beer list. The bottle shop is a joy to wander round at try and pick bottles to take home. Its a great place and a must visit for any ratebee risk!

Visited early evening on a Wednesday. Very much a geek oriented bottle shop + seperate bar area. Both bottle shop room and the bar area are pretty small, though dont feel cramped. Additional seating on the front sidewalk or out back on the patio. The selection in the bottle shop was intense, I could have spent 2 hours looking through the coolers and the racks. Prices were the highest I saw on my trip to Portland, though not ridiculous. In the bar area, 20 beers, 2 ciders, 1 cask and 1 firkin (of Dansk Mjd Viking Blod mead) on offer. Most beers are available as sample, 25cl, pint, liter or growler. Food available for order at the bar from the Italian place nearby. Service was great, super knowledgeable, friendly and fun.

94 = ★★★★ (World class)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Ate lunch here mid week. Sat at the bar and chatted with the bar keep. Small inside but did have a beer garden out back and patio seating iut front. Had a decent bottle shop also connected. Selection was great, ipas, sours, gose, u name it, food was good, from a food cart outback.

Surely a must visit in Portland on almost anyones list. Bottle shop is pretty small and the bar area is as well. But they pack a lot of stuff in here.

The draft list was quite solid and included some interesting, special beers from all over Oregon. A few imports, and some less interesting/standard beers. The bottle selection is outstanding. All sorts of beers from all over the state, meads, ciders, ice ciders, fruit can get pretty much anything here. Knowledgeable staff, too.

Yeah...go here.

Visited in the afternoon and loved it. Really nice feel to the place and like the fact that you just grab bottles from the shop and take them to the bar to drink. Decent tap list and massive bottle selection. In my top 3 of Portland places I think. Will definitely go back next time Im in town. Atmosphere felt almost Belgian. Wasnt very busy during the day, but guess its busy in the evening. Another must visit.

What more to say? A place where you can go grab a great tap beer and then peruse the bottle shop to find what you need. Staff was helpful and asked if I needed anything along with providing recommendations. Great place.

Visited a while back when in Portland. Not generally my type of place turned out to be a decent experience during my visit. They have a nice tap list and a ridiculous amount of bottles to choose from, if you cant find you may not have been looking. Reasonably priced for the West Coast and overall a good place to find any variety of beer on a planet due to their unbelievable bottle list. Along with Hair of the Dog a must visit location while in Portland.
