I am talking about the historic Berghoff located in downtown Chicago. It was a perfect dinging experience, with some delicious food and excellent beer. A great place to have brunch before a day in town.

just look at all the other reviews, most are spot on .. cramped .. expensive as anything (even for an airport) .. bland beer .. a place for beer if you can’t find goose island..

The line was too long for me to try the food, i wish you could order at the bar. The bar itself is very cramped, and you have to climb over luggage or cram in almost shoulder to shoulder like thirsty sardines. After all that disappointment and effort, the beers are oretty bad. What kind of style is "Dark Beer’ anyway?

Located just outside gate C-24, this is nothing more than an airport bar. The food is pretty good and the beers a little below average. The prices are what you should expect in an airport.

Nothing I had there was particularly good. Didn’t have food. In the airport, so it’s obviously overpriced.

Didn’t have food, just a beer in the very cramped space near Gate C22. They had 3 Berghoff on, and a bunch of other uninteresting stuff. Forgetable place, though I guess I enjoyed the Berghoff Dark over a Bud Light at a normal bar in the airport.

For an decent beer while stuck in OHare, it’s a good choice. Decent Huber-brewed Berghoffs - light, dark, a seasonal, that’s about it. I prefer the more comfortable Goose Island stand just inside the AA terminal, near the connection between UA and AA terminals (next to the Wildcat WWII plane) - spread out tables for sitting quietly contemplating the Chicago weather out the big windows. The newer ’Tuscan Cafe’ at the other end of the UA C terminal has a much bigger bar if your looking for traveler conversation, but don’t want to fight for a seat. Expect airport prices at all of these.

Pretty crowded. Lady at the bar indicated brews are the same as served at the old brewry restaurant downtown - but it doesn’t brew - contracts out. It’s a good place to get 3 or 4 ticks without going into town! Pretty decent lagers - and maybe the best beer in the whole airport. The best in area has to get a somewhat decent overall! NOTE: That best beer part has changed - Goose Island is now in place just a short distance away!

Great food for an airport, and a nice change brews. Although very watered down for the public, The dark ale was pretty tasteless and watery but the little taste it had was pretty decent. Expensive!

Don’t expect much. Beers are just decent, always the same ones on tap and only a few to choose from, the Huber made Berghoff beers. The food is decent for the airport. Very small and very hard to get a seat here often times.
