Iím going to go out on a limb and say this is the best beer shop Iíve ever been to. Great selection including many rare ones and Sid is very, very helpful. He directed me to a few really special ones that I hadnít thought of myself and even suggested if I come back I should ask for a couple of others. Now, if I only lived in San Diego...
This is a great store. Itís inside the Super Jr. market. The selection is awesome and Sid is really knowledgeable. You can find lotísof great stuff here.

Really good place to shop in San Diego, and you if you want small bottles you can mix your own 6-pack, which is really nice for ratebeerians. They had an impressive selection of imports, but also equally impressive selection of US brews. You can also buy malt and other stuff for brewing your own beer as well as it being a regular grocery. Prices are very good too.
Come to Sid the kid. See him at Krisp for the best selection of beer in downtown San Diego. If you are overwhelmed by the craft beer selection do not fear, Sid will steer you clear to what ever your palette desires.
This looks like a cheap liquor store upon entering. This changes when the beer cooler is examined. This was the best selection I had seen in the San Diego area so far. Almost everything is kept cold as well. Prices are decent, especially considering itís right downtown. Rarities, locals and the all important Pliny the Elder were here. win.
Hiding behind the facade of the Super Jr. Market is this gem of a store. The brothers who own this shop are serious beer nerds who have done an outstanding job fitting a lot of beer in a small space. This is the only store where Iíve gotten Pliny every time Iíve asked, even if it was only a bottle per visit. Other rarities will blow your mind (Lost Abbey, FiftyFifty, so on and so forth). They treat regulars like royalty so if you live nearby, stop here as often as possible!
Awesome bottle shop in downtown San Diego with an extensive selection. Main girl at the counter doesnít seem to know anything about craft beer, but there is a guy in the back who deals with the beer I guess and is very helpful. Selection of lambics was surprisingly excellent as (3F, Hanssens, etc.), as well as imports (lots of Mikkeller). Prices are standard for San Diego. Definitely seems like the place to go when bottle shopping, though I donít have a point of comparison locally.
