A traditional pub occupying the wedge corner in a fork in the road north of Farringdon Station, as such itís a pub with a triangular ground floor room and itís a pretty tight affair for it. There is however enough pavement for a covered patio area out front which increases capacity. The bar is squeezed into one corner at the rear and naturally includes cask ales from the Shepherdís Name brewery. Itís a traditional set up with wooden tables and chairs with a comfortable appealing appearance and atmosphere.

Visited, for the first time in many years, on 08/02/13. Sheps pub about 3 minutes walk from Farringdon tube and thenceforth just under 5 minutes walk to Craft Clerko. 5 handpulls - 2 regulars being Spitfire and Bishops Finger then 3 others, usually one Sheps seasonal, a largeish/established micro guest (think Thwaites, Slaters etc) but more interestingly they normally carry a beer from the Sheps micro plant. Trad old boozer with a curtained doorway as you enter, bar to the right, seats around 40 people. Not a go to destination - as with any Sheps pub in my opinion but if you want to visit one make it this one and as mentioned you are only a stones throw from Toms beer parlour!
