Guy was pretty cool, had a pretty damn good selection and was quite helpful. Started talking to him about who had a better selection between him and Joey (South Bay Drug and Liquor)......funny stuff.

My new go-to beer store. Selection is unbelievable and only rivaled by Holiday Wine Cellar. Freddy is the man. Knows his beer, and always has the hook-up for hard to find stuff. Teases you with the Angels’ Share up front and other that are not for sale, but what is for sale more than makes up for it. Biggest selection of Alpine in town. A weekly destination.

Freddy is the KING! I’m so happy to have discovered Beverages 4 Less. Definitely one of the best beer stores in San Diego (if not the best!). Freddy puts customer service first and image 2nd. Looking for a hard to find beer? Freddy will do his best to find it for you. I was in the other day looking for the 2008 GG batch of Flying Dog Double Dog. In a second he made a phone call and had it in stock the very next day! He has some hidden gems tucked away so it’s worth the trip! For instance I was able to score a Port Brewing Serpents Stout a few months ago. Everyone else was sold out. Not Freddy! Pliny The Elder? Other locations here in San Diego are sold out. Not Freddy!

Freddy was very happy to talk beer with us and very enthusiastic and proud of his store. Great selection, very good prices as well (dropped $300). He even hooked us up with a few beers from the back that were totally awsome. He took my phone number even so he could let me know what special release beers he would be getting in, great place and an even better owner.

I am on to Freddy now. Updated rating. I was very young in my craft beer journey and naive when I first rated this place.

My first stop in Freddy’s place and he rewarded me with a back room bottle of ’06 Decadence. Great selection. Knowledgeable, well-connected owner/GM. Black Butte XX, two bottle limit. Many bottles of Gift of the Magi.

I went into this store for the first time tonight and I was taken aback by the warm reception and professionalism of the staff. The store is immaculate and very well stocked with a wide and sometimes unusual range of high quality beer, wine and spirits. Freddie, the owner is an enthusiast and a real character and i fully recommend a visit. Prices are very competitive and the all the staff are friendly and helpful. Iwill be making this my store of choice in the future!

For East County, this store is definitely in the top 5 for selection of beer. I heard this place is one of only 2 places in East County to carry the full line of Apline beers. The owner told me today that on Monday, Maharaja (10% alc) will be available. I’ll be back! I grabbed some Avery New World Porter and V-Saison today! Cheers.

Strip mall liquor store off of a busy street. Friendly owner. Tons of beers. Good quality stuff. Reasonable prices. Lots of local stuff. Some stuff I haven’t seen around town. Four Lightning brews. Alot of Alpine too. Cooler is full of stuff, but there is also alot of beer out on the floor. I would guess that there are at least 250 different beers.

A nice little liquor store, the owner (Freddy) seems to be very adept at getting his hands on rare beers. I love the personalized service I get here, this is the top spot in SD to get great beer. Recently Freddy started having Homebrew tasting at this place on Friday’s at 4-6pm, he always breaks out a few other interesting brews and shares them with the group. Very generous. Overall: I really like this find, and its the closest to my house of all the good stores.
