76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 BückDich (215) McCall, Idaho | March 6, 2006 Carmel Mtn Location: Easy to find building, nicely categorized inventory. The beers were a bit more spread out than I usually like. The staff was helpful with all of my questions. The selection was ok, but not quite what I was expecting. A few rarities for the region, but just the usual socal suspects. And wtf is the "no breaking 6ers" rule? You can’t do this unless you’re offering single bottles at the same time like Holiday does! Bah! Oh, and their sake selection is seriously lacking attention. | 56 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 haddon90 (29) Newport Beach, California | December 31, 2005 I’ve been to both Carmel Mountain and Mission Valley. Mission Valley is actually a BevMo express, where as Carmel Mountain is a full service one. Both offer the local Stone’s and Alesmith’s. Don’t need service, because you pretty much know what you’re looking for. I mean it’s a liquor store. I’d be there a lot if I lived in San Diego. |
