Man oh man. First went here like in the 90’s. If you’re close by and aren’t going to Beer Rev grab a spot in their parking structure. I remember at one time they had tons of Triple Bock from Sam Adams, ’97 I think. To me not worth going out of your way.

I picked up Deschutes Colage here. $11. What a waste. Same set up as other stores.

Stopped in right before closing last night on a semi-ridiculous place ticking rampage. I was pleasantly surprised by this Bevmo. For the most part they have the same selection as other Bevmos but this one is much larger than most of the others I’ve been to, or at least it seems that way. Four aisles of beer and plenty of Boulevard Love Child 3 sitting on the shelf. Was tempted to stock up on Vitus for $2.99/bottle. I also noticed that they had big bottles of Beersel Oude Kriek and small bottles of Fond Gueuze. Never seen a lambic at Bevmo other than Lindemans.

Stopped by during quiet hours. Near Jack London Square. Big store, decent BevMo selection of wine, beer and hard liquor. Some singles available. Nothing super rare or otherwise. Prices are Bevmo. They have their own parking lot next door. Not a great destination for exotic beer in the east bay, but better than your average liquor store.

I hate chains. There I said it.
Bevo is not that bad of a chain and as sad as it is to say it is one of the best places to buy a wide range of beers in Oakland.
Prices are decent, staff is not well informed about craft beer, but the selection is wide and there is no better place to stock up before a party.
Kind of the walmart of beer, but I am happy these guys are in the area.

Normal BevMo selection which is above average. Common local selections- but had 21st amendment watermelon wheat, and maui coconut porter which was a nice suprise.
