Well I can see why this place gets a 65. What a disaster inside. Boxes everywhere, shelves half stocked. Things piled in carts, even blocking some of the actual better beers. IPAs all over the place at room temperature. That and the selection was even kind of crappy by Bevmo standards. You are SOOOOO much better off at the Whole Foods two blocks away.

Small time Bevmo. Not nearly as much beer selection as other stores but if you’re in the area and dont want to go to Whole Foods then go for it. At least you can find some AleSmith here, or at least you used to be able to. Fairly run of the mill kind of place.

Good selection of beers in large (22 ox) and up and six packs of 12 oz bottles. Unfortunately they do nit sell single 12 oz bottles

I have been to this BevMo many times but never thought twice about taking the time to review it until now. They always have beer on sale to Clubbev members and the selection is the same if not lower than other BevMos’. The reason I’m writhing this review is my last experience with them. As some of you, I also was in search of some Parabola. I called them on a Monday to ask if they had received it and was told that it would be arriving in two days. Two days later I called to make sure they had it and was told that they had it two days ago and were sold out. I was very disappointed in their service. Another bad thing about this store is that they said they didn’t get any Abyss. But now I’m thinking that was also a lie. Unless I want a 12 pack of some stand by beer I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Typical BevMo Store, a bit crowded perhaps, easy parking. Lots of people, but lots of people to help. Typical BevMo selection, which is pretty fair. Not a bad stop if you are in the area.

Capt. Cougar makes a fair point that as a western states resident, I will be inherently less impressed with this BevMo than he. That said, this could be the worst BevMo in the greater LA metropolitan area. Very small, very VERY predictably stocked, and right down the street from a Whole Foods that embarrasses this BevMo. Please just go there unless you NEED 6-packs of Red Trolley.

I’ve been to Pasadena a number of times and this is kinda my default store for the area. Pretty good selection and prices, but if I had time, there are better stores a little farther away. As a chain, BevMo is always a good stop for me being an East-coaster as they have lots of stuff I can’t get back home.

A huge selection of beer - several isles of locals, national micros and macros, and imports. Prices are decent, especially for the area. Staff is usually pretty clueless, and so are most of the people shopping there. Occasionally I’ve seen a small tasting taking place - which they have to charge $1 for because of some California bylaws??? But the tasting is usually something that is already pretty well known by the average beer geek. Go check it out. Join the free member club and get money back after a certain payment.

If Bevmo has it in stock, and on sale, it is well worth the trip. Don’t try asking these folks if they can order something, or if they have heard of something, or if it will be available soon. You will be met with an I dunno or something along the lines of get lost. The positives are they can get you a deal on some of your favorites from time to time.
