70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 14/20 Ibrew2or3 (300) Tempe, Arizona | February 28, 2013 Headed here back in the day to pick up some FirestoneWalker 11. Found it here when it was released for a reasonable price, compared to now (about $16.95). About the place I noticed was this “strip mall” sort of area has tighter than average parking and this can be a fairly congested area. The rest of the selection was pretty on par with the better Bevmo’s in SD County. I don’t think this is worth a special trip but if you’re cruising by on 5 already and looking to pick something up maybe a quick stop here would be worth the effort. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (561) Columbus, Ohio | March 3, 2009 (Visited 07/2008): This is the second Bevmo I have visited and the there are quite a few differences. This location is in Solana Beach right off the I-5 Lomas Sante Fe exit. Strip mall parking is fairly abundant.
The inside is pretty small, with the beer section in the back. The store is kind of cramped in that area. There is about one aisle of beers with coolers opposite.
The beers are separated by region. California and Washington are pretty well represented, with beers from Alesmith, Stone, Rogue, Lost Abbey and others. There is also a smaller domestic and import selection.
Service was pretty good, someone on the floor offered assistance, and the cashier was friendly.
Overall, I was still able to find some goodies to bring home but I must have gotten a little spoiled by the scale of the Palmdale location. Worth a stop if you are on your way to Pizza Port but otherwise I would pick another location. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 trokini (56) San Diego, California | October 27, 2008| Updated December 16, 2008 Like most other BevMo’s only much, much smaller. Beer aisle is maybe half of what you would find in Mission Valley. However, I have been told that the beer buyer from La Jolla has taken this place over, so expect a much better selection than in the past. |
