A new Austrian restaurant in LA that serves great, traditional and authentic Austrian food. Not cheap, but quite tasty from their haus-gemacht (home made) charcuterie to the veal gulash mit spatzle. Great stuff. Employees are knowledgeable about the the beers, schnapps, wine and food they serve. Most speak at least some German. Chef Bernhard (who is the obscenely tall guy in the kitchen) also cares about beer. Seven European (5 Austrian) beers on tap, several of which I have never seen in California (Stiegl Zwickel and the like). Several bottles including 2 California beers. Come for the food and the rare Austrian kegs on tap.
