I was here yesterday! Never seen such place: nice ambience and a huge selection of beers and a nice christmas atmosphere ; more than 500 beers, amazing! We had real belgan food; very good. We will visit again
Definately going back here. One of my recent discoveries in Antwerp’s most entertaining area. Was impressed by the beer encyclopedia (their menu) and took one along to study at home.
Music might be louder than in your everyday small village tuesday-afternoon pub, but this is not the area in Antwerp where you’ll find any pub to just go sit down and relax - it’s a place to enjoy the outgoing atmosphere of Antwerp’s most famous entertainment quarter.
Menu contents was superb, and my quite exotic pick was available although I know about the limited quantities in which it is being supplied. Service was friendly and professional. Did ’intercept’ a conversation with an indecisive customer and they were quite helpful and patient.
So, not the typical enjoy-a-beer-in-all-silence pub/cafe, they’ve actually CREATED something here with a good focus on quality, quantity AND atmosphere. If there is a relative price to be paid for that, I don’t care. If I want the cheapest prices, I go to Tesco’s or Aldi.
A great place in the heart of Antwerp. The service is always plentiful and quick, food is good, and the beer selection is as broad as the street it lies on. It is not the cheapest of places but appears to be worth the sacrifice considering how much one can taste in a single sitting. Despite its size, the place has a cozy, local, wooden interior and creates a pleasant atmosphere on the days it is not filled to the brim.
Yes, it does remind one of TGI Friday’s and, yes, it does sport a massive disco ball in the ceiling. However, it has some redeeming features too; the service is fast, the food was pretty good and the beer selection would have made this a top bar in most other cities.
Though most of the draft beers were the "standard" ones, such as Stella, Hoegaarden and Leffe, they also offered Triple Karmeliet and Bourgogne des Flandres Brune on tap. And any place with Struise Aardmonnik on bottle gets an extra star in my book.
So, overall the impression is very positive - just make sure to visit early in the day, before it gets too noisy.

This place was a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde experience for me. First visit was a Friday morning onwards lunchtime. Quite and nice, with a few guests and some patient waiters serving our group. Nice selection of beer to be picked from a well informative menu. We all had a great time. Stopped by again after midnight and this time it was just a packed and noisy place with disturbing music and flashing lights all over. Better to sit outside. Strongly recommend to visit this place early at the day. My score for abiance would have been 4 or 5 then.
