Although it’s not as good a beer bar as the Kulminator, I’d sooner come here when I’m in Antwerp simply for their addition of a large and well-priced food menu. The beer selection is large. There are some more uncommon bottles offered. The service is also better than I’ve come to expect in Belgium (everyone is very friendly), but unfortunately, in the three times that I’ve been here, we had one waitress who would serve us who couldn’t seem to get our beer orders right and didn’t really know anything about the list. However, she rectified these problems by having someone with a more intricate knowledge of the offerings come over to our group.

Nice combination of traditional bar and modern spacious beer outlet. 30 Belgian taps of which about 10 less usual ones. Bottles also wide variety of types. Food tasty. Service friendly, knowledgable and very attentive. If you prefer dingy, grubby and surly, go elsewhere.

I have been here a couple of times. Quite a nice place, couple of beers that were new to me & haven’t ticked them all yet, overall a solid selection, good beer and a couple of sours at very, very, very good prices for a bar, overall prices are agreeable, nice snacks, haven’t eaten here yet but the snacks were restaurant appetizer type – neat. Location is good and service is apt – indeed oddly (for me) in Holland dialect – they were cool with us having a small tasting, friendly. The staff was not bad and appeared to be into craft. Now they have most of the beers on the menu, bit too stylized perhaps for me but there is not much bad to be said for what is a pretty good place. Seats seem to be available always. I wouldn’t say that this is a must visit beer geek place in Antwerp but certainly not a bad place to check out or have a drink at.

Friendly, but a little run-down. Not that it matters since the atmosphere is very nice, the service is good and, most importantly, the beer is good as well.

Great little place with a solid taplist and very nice bottle selection including quite a few lambics (nothing crazy though). Service was spectacular and the outside deck was wonderful. Food menu is mostly appetizers, with a few vegetarian (but no vegan) options. Definitely worth a stop when in Antwerp.

Yet another good place in Antwerp. Nicely done out to look old, high ceiling, chandelier and a small gallery for about 8 people above. Wooden floor with a more open plan area towards the rear, the bar being on your left. 30 or so on-tap beers and Motown music on our visit (late, Sunday 16th Dec 2012). Good, vibe, if a little empty, staff pleasant and friendly.

Ok place, pretty cosy interior. Weird to be served by Dutch (and I mean Holland Dutch, not Belgian Dutch) waiters in Antwerp city. Very elaborate beer menu, prices are ok for this location (right next to the city hall). Did not eat, but might give it a try on one of my next Antwerp visits. At least I got a place to go now, until the Kulminator opens up in the afternoon. ;-)

This place doesn’t need the spam reviews. It can stand on its own. Gollem’s a restaurant/bar located in a touristy part of Antwerp. Clean, sleek ambiance. There’s about 25 taps plus 150 or so bottles. There’s plenty of your standard Belgian offerings, but the list is curated to include some nice stuff too. I can’t complain when St Bernardus Abt 12 is on tap for a good price. The food is definitely worth trying. My portion of ribs could have served a family of 4. Prices were quite good considering the location. The service was better than average for Belgium. Overall, this would be a good spot to grab lunch if you’re on a crawl through Antwerp. Recommended.

The location of Gollem is nice. Close enough to touristy areas. My timing was a bit off, as there was construction work going on outside. Inside, the music might at times be a bit too loud, especially considering I went there in the early afternoon. No reason to play loud music indoors, really, seeing how I was the only one indoors! The selection is quite decent. You get the "usual" selection of Belgians that you would expect from any better Belgian beer bar. However, you also get some De Molen’s for decent prices. The DSB Black Albert, one of my favorites, is offered here at a very decent price. An earlier review (by BelgBeerGeek) states that they stock more De Molen’s than they list on the blackboard, something I will have to ask about the next time I visit Gollem. The service here was very friendly, but I have not visited during peak times. I am still unsure on what exactly Gollem is trying to be, though. The selection hints at aspirations of being a specialist beer bar, but the loud music and focus on food makes it a confusing combination. I would love to see some Danish and/or American beers added to the list.
