Ok place, pretty cosy interior. Weird to be served by Dutch (and I mean Holland Dutch, not Belgian Dutch) waiters in Antwerp city. Very elaborate beer menu, prices are ok for this location (right next to the city hall). Did not eat, but might give it a try on one of my next Antwerp visits. At least I got a place to go now, until the Kulminator opens up in the afternoon. ;-)

This place doesn’t need the spam reviews. It can stand on its own. Gollem’s a restaurant/bar located in a touristy part of Antwerp. Clean, sleek ambiance. There’s about 25 taps plus 150 or so bottles. There’s plenty of your standard Belgian offerings, but the list is curated to include some nice stuff too. I can’t complain when St Bernardus Abt 12 is on tap for a good price. The food is definitely worth trying. My portion of ribs could have served a family of 4. Prices were quite good considering the location. The service was better than average for Belgium. Overall, this would be a good spot to grab lunch if you’re on a crawl through Antwerp. Recommended.

The location of Gollem is nice. Close enough to touristy areas. My timing was a bit off, as there was construction work going on outside. Inside, the music might at times be a bit too loud, especially considering I went there in the early afternoon. No reason to play loud music indoors, really, seeing how I was the only one indoors! The selection is quite decent. You get the "usual" selection of Belgians that you would expect from any better Belgian beer bar. However, you also get some De Molen’s for decent prices. The DSB Black Albert, one of my favorites, is offered here at a very decent price. An earlier review (by BelgBeerGeek) states that they stock more De Molen’s than they list on the blackboard, something I will have to ask about the next time I visit Gollem. The service here was very friendly, but I have not visited during peak times. I am still unsure on what exactly Gollem is trying to be, though. The selection hints at aspirations of being a specialist beer bar, but the loud music and focus on food makes it a confusing combination. I would love to see some Danish and/or American beers added to the list.

Interesting new beerpub with two for Antwerp unusual features: 30 different taps and a serious number of international beers. That feels like Holland, and indeed, the owners are Dutch. Friendly service, nice bottled list - the tap selection is okay, but not as adventurous as one might expect. But maybe that’s going to change over time, it’s a new pub after all. Don’t miss it!

Counted 300 beers in theory, although they are pushing for 400 and may get there. "In theory" means that helter-skelter list on the walls plus the taps, of which there were 30 with not many surprises. One was the Gollem Blond, made for them by the Musketeers at Proef. Didn’t eat but the food menu is ambitious -- maybe too ambitious for a simple beer café that wasn’t especially crowded -- and looked good. Definitely worth a visit but the Bierhuiske around the corner seems to have a clearer vision and stronger (not longer) list for now. Lot of potential, though. Great location on Suikkerrei, between the water and the Cathederal. Friendly owners.

Beautifful interior that they created , somewhat like 19th century chique. Beers weren’t all avaible but they did had more beer than what was listed ... i just asked if they had anything else from De Molen besides the one they had listed and they had 2 more for the moment. Also from Joppen only 1-2 were listed but they had actually 4-5 of them. Staff was friendly and helpfull , quite knowledgeable as well. When i was there they also served food that looked good with big portions, only i didn’t eat when i was there. Allot of small and local breweries were listed as well so that kinda gave me good hope on what the future brings. Tap list is kinda mediocore with regular beers and a couple of good ones. The only negative i can say is that they have no menu on the table just the one hanging on the wall , and that one is totally not organised styles and breweries all mixed thru eachother ... but like i said i have good hopes on this one

Solid little beer bar located in central Antwerp. The interior is fairly modern and dark. The selection is good, but not great. They have a fairly comprehensive tap and bottle selection with no particular stand-outs or beers I had not seen elsewhere. Saying that there was still plenty of good stuff for me to drink and re-visit. Service was friendly and very attentive by Belgian standards. Food was also rather good if a little pricey. Much better opening hours than Kulminator so if you’re in Antwerp I’m sure you’ll find yourself here. A decent stop.

Antwerps newest beer bar. Nice atmosphere, good food. The beer is a bit expensive.A bit of a missed opportunity. The tap and especially the bottle list is made up out of bulk mainly. Too little monuments, too little innovation, too much mediocre beers (Tongerlo, etc). Next to none Oude Geuzes, for example. The owners are Dutch, but should play the Dutch/foreign card a lot more. Why aren’t all the La Trappe-beers on the list, for example. Rare De Molen brews (there are a couple of them, but there could be more) could attract a crowd that is currently unserved inAntwerp: quality non-Belgian beer drinkers. Other foreign beers? Maisel from Germany. The owners should go and have a peep in Brussels at Moeder Lambic. If Gollem can pimp it’s list, they might have a chance, otherwise I’m afraid that the cheaper Antwaerps Bierhuiske (less beers, but the list is way more intelligent and diversified) will compete them out of the market

For eating, it’s defiitely too early. Will try again. The pub is surrounded by blackboard depicting the available beers, but from the 400 promised, maybe a quarter is available at this moment. 30 taps to come, at the pont of visit 28 available, including the Gollem blond, specially made for the mini-chain. The place looks comfy, and is definitely a succeeded remodeling of a classical stately townhome. It’s nowhere a brown café, as the original A’dam pub. Rather loud, very neutral muzak. The service is quite OK, people from A’dam having come to help a hand. Needs developing;

Great space, but a bit too commercial for my taste. Lots of expected beers and plenty of tourists. Loud, and not particularly worth the effort. Perhaps I caught them at the wrong time, but not a fan. Sorry.
