88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20
Visited Saturday early evening (their opening night). First impression was the place was larger than I was expecting, with a large bar right in front, 5-6 large tables to the right, and 8-10 cooler doors beyond that. The place was mobbed, though service was still friendly and attentive. Everyone in the place seemed really happy. I chose a Tallgrass Ethos, Monk’s Cafe Sour and a Stillwater of Love and Regret from the ~20 draft beers. Nice glassware, decent value. The bottles beer selection was well chosen, though nothing to crazy jumped out at me (it was their first day after all). This place immediately becomes one of the best spots in Kansas City to drink a beer (and buy one too).
88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Oh fuck yeah. Kick ass beer store / beer bar. Lots of yuppies and know-it-all beer nerds but the place has such a fantastic selection. Drink what’s on tap or purchase a bottle at the bottle side to drink on site (or take home). So chill.

Are really cool combination of a beer store and a beer bar. A nice feel with large indoor picnic tables, a nice large bar and some outdoor seating. A great selection of taps and bottles for there or to take home. Service was great and prices seemed quite competitive. Didn’t try the food on my visit. One of the more unique beer places i have been to date!

A cool new place in Kansas City. They have around 24 taps as well as over 100 bottles to choose from. Bottles can either be taken to-go, or enjoyed in the bar (for a little higher price). The beers on tap are always rotating. From week-to-week, pretty much the whole tap lineup will be changed to something different. That is cool, because you get to see a lot of beers that don’t usually go on tap in Kansas City at Bier Station. It can get a little expensive depending on the beers you try. Fun place, great place to take anyone visiting Kansas City.

Visited 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday and it was very busy. Nice concept for sure. Bottle selection similar to a better beer store. Tap selection was very good, something for everyone. 20 taps I believe. Very limited menu. Staff knew their beers. Believe this place will age well.

This is a pretty unique place, and not just for KC. A combination bar/beer store/pub. Great food, very decent selection of beers that you can take home or drink on location, nice outdoor seating area, and a good selection of taps.

Visited a few times before I moved out of Kansas. This was definitely a step up for the KC market. Well designed place, looks new and clean, has a cool second floor, pretty roomy. The food was small and too expensive, I would avoid eating here. However, the beer was worthwhile. Taps were good but nothing ever too special. Love being able to get it in different sizes. The bottle selection was good as they had plenty of the better beer compared to the stores. Also, some drink in prices were a steal but general not worthwhile. The places was a bit too hipster crowd. I would go back only if a particular beer that I wanted was on tap. Service was always fast and with a smile.

I will probably say this a lot on this trip, but this is my new favorite place. A big selection of well chosen taps... Some common, some rare. All delicious. Service was fantastic. You can build your own flights, and they have their bottle shop too. A must if you’re in the kc area.

in at night, eclectic crowd, beer displayed for easy perusal and purchase, great business model due to recent Missouri liquor law changes, good neighborhood local and good parking. Small of but cheese and sausage selection. No complaints, an excellent local
