My new favorite tavern to have a beer. Helps to live in the neighborhood as well. Staff are well versed on the taps and the bottle selection is outstanding.

Selection constrained only by the laws in the state. If it can be gotten in MO, they get it. Great service and food. A little spendy, but without question the best beer place in KC.

Stopped in during a trip to KC, to find a craft beer bar that seems deceptively larger inside than it appears from without. The tap list was quite decent, and kept updated on a couple large-screen monitors above the bar, complete with little keg gauges to show approximately how much is left of each beer.
Bar staff seemed to really know their beer, and there’s a sizeable bottle collection that takes up an entire wall of coolers, either for on-site consumption or as a bottle shop. There’s a relatively small and simple food menu, which includes some particularly tasty brats. The crowd is friendly, the atmosphere laid back, the feel much like a comfortable little dive bar.
Would return if ever back in town.

I will probably say this a lot on this trip, but this is my new favorite place. A big selection of well chosen taps... Some common, some rare. All delicious. Service was fantastic. You can build your own flights, and they have their bottle shop too. A must if you’re in the kc area.

Oh fuck yeah. Kick ass beer store / beer bar. Lots of yuppies and know-it-all beer nerds but the place has such a fantastic selection. Drink what’s on tap or purchase a bottle at the bottle side to drink on site (or take home). So chill.

Love this place. Great way to try out some new beers. The rotating selections keep things interesting. The people are awesome and very helpful. The service can be a bit slow when things get busy and there really is no food to speak of but overall. In my top 5 in KC

kind of a half done feel to the place. some areas look amazing, some look like an afterthought. Service is mixed, some is the best in town some is....weird. A mix of being on the old high horse and just not knowing as much as they think. Being able to purchase and consume beer in a variety of ways havent had the food, seems to be snacks not meals. Really fair pricing. Im glad that this exists.

Visited Saturday early evening (their opening night). First impression was the place was larger than I was expecting, with a large bar right in front, 5-6 large tables to the right, and 8-10 cooler doors beyond that. The place was mobbed, though service was still friendly and attentive. Everyone in the place seemed really happy. I chose a Tallgrass Ethos, Monk’s Cafe Sour and a Stillwater of Love and Regret from the ~20 draft beers. Nice glassware, decent value. The bottles beer selection was well chosen, though nothing to crazy jumped out at me (it was their first day after all). This place immediately becomes one of the best spots in Kansas City to drink a beer (and buy one too).
88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)
I only use the total score, not the component parts.
