Very conveniently located. Nice decor - lots of dark wood, dimly lit, but still spacious and welcoming. The selection of beer is outstanding, maybe the best I came across in Bruges. The food was tasty and satisfying, but not worth the 20 euros I payed for it. Overall the prices for food are quite high, the beer prices are slightly more reasonable, but not cheap. The service was painfully slow, and at times actually just ignored me, but they did seem to know their stuff, so I’ll give them some points for that. Service aside, highly recommended.
This is quite a large and touristy pub in central Bruges. Packed with diners on this visit and not easy to get a table for just drinking, so we relented and ate as well. Busy, hectic, we felt a little rushed to select our choices from the large list. Not my favourite place in Bruges despite the choice but a must visit nevertheless.
Visited after BBF. Established beer restaurant with a list strong in Belgian classics and two house beers made to original recipes. Friendly and helpful staff and quick service in spite of the fact that the place was very crowded. Grand café kind of atmosphere but nice and agreeable. Glad I visited it, but I’m not sure I’d go back here soon.
Visited 3 times in our trip to Brugge. The beer menu is large, not easy to follow, the selection is wide, but no rare beers in particular. Certainly something to keep most interested. It’s a busy place and the staff were over worked. Food was good, but expensive. Worth a visit if you want food and a good beer list
The grandaddy beer food establishment with a phone book-like tome of beers. Four beer tasting tray of the four changing house beers, plenty to be getting on with in the bottle selection. Very good quality food at reasonable prices but equally welcome to stop by for a beer. Tables will have reserved signs on them; but they’ll usually have one available if you’re planning on eating. Bright and comfortable though a little crowded and not enough staff at times.
