Great place here, well-kept, enough place inside. Lots of warm wood with pleasant brick. The entire atmosphere breathed Christmas which was more than appropriate for the time of the year. The bar stools were comfortable and the service was friendly, informed & inviting. Beer list was substantial enough, focusing on the truly small BE breweries, beers which are interesting & of great quality but do not focus on the popular Belgian breweries. This meant about 10 or so beers which I hadnít tried yet & some I had never even heard of. I think virtually all people will find a new BE beer or 2 here. Food was limited to complimentary nuts but there is a French fries & sandwich place which seemed fine right across the street & apparently a pizzeria somewhere down the road. It appeared like they are cool with you bringing food in if you ask. Clientele was limited to locals & the location assured that this place isnít overrun with tourist trying to score rarities. Prizes were really good, surprising even at times aka 12 year old Ter Dolen Tripel was 5 Ä & tasted really well. If you are anywhere close to this place, you need to stop by. The great feel of the place, lovely prices are more than inviting & we had trouble leaving, this is really a place to stop for a long time. This is just like those popular Belgian bars before they were overrun by tourists & beer geeks. They were surprised about mentioned on RB & about me rating beers but also very welcome of the idea or curious at the least. If I am ever around again, I will stop by again & I hope that this place isnít ďdiscoveredĒ by then.
