After reading about this, I made a point of visiting this interesting place, which is a block and a half from the Union St stop for the R-subway. Upon entering and viewing the tremendous cold selection on the left and the room temperature selections on the right, I regretted not bringing my Jeep and to few coolers to fill. There was way more than I could remember and many interesting items like St. Bernardus Wit and a Dupont Holiday Saison 750ml. The coolest growler fill of the Sixpoint Granpaís Nerve Tonic was a counter fill that took all the guess work out of an easy task. The cheese and chocolate selection seemed to be good, but I didnít get to it too much. The counter help and the guys handling the growlers were very friendly and were curious to know where I was from and how I had heard of them. The prices were reasonable and I will be happy to visit the place over and over again.

I guess this for me is the epitome of a craftbeer-shop. Huge selection, focus mainly on american beer, but a very nice selection also of beer from Belgium, Germany, the UK, hell yeah even Italy and my homecountry, Denmark. You can buy beer on tap as well and pair it with a small selection of cheese or sausages.

I was in Brooklyn for Business and had the sheer LUCK of having a hotel within walking distance of this place. Being from SO cal, this place is unreal!! They have a bottle shop with beers from both coasts and international, a bar, growlers and 22ís to go, and sandwiches!! Did i mention that they do free tastings? These guys know how to run a place. Highly recommend this place if you are local or out of town. Prices are a little high, but you are paying for higher than other shops i have seen here in so cal. As a side note these guys will even ship!! Dream come true!!

Great selection, very knowledgeable and helpful staff (Iíve had many long conversations with them), and great food. I go there regularly. Sometimes their prices are high, but not always, and they have things other places donít. They also do growler fills (eg they had The Bruery Melange #3, wow!).

Best high end beer store that I have been to. I trek from the other boroughs weekly to pick up bottles, cans and growlers from the best of the best. Growler fills are ususally hard to fiond esoteric items. They also have great cheese, cured meats, and gourmet sweets available form a knowledgeable staff!

plenty of interesting beers on tap. theyíre not afraid to put up some wild stuff, either. last week they had something like 10 sour beers from germany on tap (which were really great)! great bottle selection. prices are a little steep, but iím sure that rent isnít cheap in park slope. nice backyard. friendly, knowledgeable and passionate staff.

(07.03.06) I visited this Brooklyn site and was astounded by the wall of refrigeration holding a huge collection of high quality bottled microbrew beers from breweries such as Southampton, Smuttynose, Stoudts, Weyerbacher, Heavyweight, etc.. Many imported bottled beers as well. There was also a section where you can purchase growlers of draft beers from Six Point and other breweries. The store also had an amazing selection of gourmet cheeses and chocolates. High quality stuff. Very knowledgeable staff. I spent an enjoyable hour speaking with an employee named Ben who really knew his beers and then another few hours studying their beers. I could live in this place. A must for all beer geeks.

Really nice place with good service. Some really good finds to be had there (and they deliver to Manhattan, which rocks). The other side of the store is all gourmet food and cheeses, really good stuff. I got a sandwich there when I was on the way out, and it was super tasty. Really amazing selection of cheeses too. Free tastings every tuesday, if I understood them right, and they provide free beer samples that they pair with cheese.

I love the layout of this place. Itís set up like a U and you walk through a long hallway of bottles before you reach the taps and kitchen counter. As you continue down the other hallway, there is a collection of picnic tables. Limitedtaps, but they were solid. Nice bottle selection and tasty sandwiches. Will definitely find my way back.
