Unique place that features almost strictly bar seating downstairs and a separate room upstairs with all sorts of weird games. Feels like someone’s run-down living room. 8 house beers on tap, which we sampled for a very reasonable price. Service was super friendly and accommodating. Beer quality was fairly average, though the "Time Capsule" beers were definitely well-made and enjoyable. Would come back to check out the special beers.

Spartan, sheet metal buiding with small bar and good-sized beergarten. They only serve beer, but they allow you to bring your own food. The selection of beers is very good--especially for a place this small. Price is four dollars per pint. The beers were very good and it was a nice place to relax on a summer day.

It’s like if you’d have a pub and a brewery in the same place and in your neighborhood. Just what a beer lover needs. Right in the corner.

(Visited 09/2012 on the Seattle Road Dogs Tour): Big Al Brewing is located on the south side of Seattle in the White Center area on 14th St. Street parking in front.

There is a large patio in front of the building. Inside there is a small bar downstairs, and more space upstairs.

Big Al’s has 8 house beers in the taproom, including Irish Red, Brougham Bitter, Löwman Bräu, Tutta Bella Amber, Big Hoppa and one of the "Local Hero" series. The beers were all decent for the most part.

Service on our fairly busy weekday afternoon visit (seemed like pretty much all locals) was pretty good.

All in all this is a pretty solid spot to visit in Seattle.

Typical local brewpub, a small place, but it has good service and also a good quantity and quality of beer. Liked the free peanuts.

Definitely worth the trek to White Center to drink tasty beers and get growler fills. Highlights from the sample platter included the Black IPA, Chili Beer and Winter Warmer. I would certainly be a regular if I lived in the area.

Nice place. We went there just after it had opened, so needless to say, it was dead. The bartendress was very affable and prompt. The prices are fucking amazing. The thing is is that the growler fills are actually one hell-of-a deal! The place upstairs is free to reserve, if you have a big party. The seating downstairs is scarce, but it is quite comfortable. They adhere to the free pretzels rule; I love the free pretzels compliment. The brews are quite nice; I was expecting mediocre stuff, but honestly, their beers are quite delicious. For six pints we spent $26, which is quite good. You must stop here if you’re in the area. Overall, this place was kick ass. They don’t serve food, but everything else makes up for it.

I checked this place right after they opened. 7-8 Taps most of which were excellent. The bartender was really knowledgeable about the beer and friendly. It is basically a local hangout. I think you can bring your own food from other restaurants. Great beer for a good price. I left with a growler of their Belgium beer.

Small brewery tasting room with big bar seating 12 or so; room for more to hang and also space upstairs to watch a game or have an event; I went there for a WABL Wyeast lecture held upstairs; tasty brews, growler fills and glasses available; Al has been doing great and has knocked off plenty of handles around down; cheers to more to come and a great addition to the seattle beer community!!

Stopped in while on my holiday vacation. Just down the road from were i was staying. I guess this is the same location as the old Pacific Rim Brewing. Some guy that was in there was telling me a crazy story about how Al bought this place on EBAY??? I don’t know. But any how. They have a good line up for just getting going. The brews were tasty and a very good price. I will stop in every time I am in town.
