Nice presence on University ave. Great old building with plenty of antique charm and modern touches. Brewing area open to view from the restaurant seating which adds great ambiance. Nice selection of sandwiches and pizzas. They have their beer on tap, most of which is very good to excellent. The only real knock against them is that I never experience very friendly staff here.

Bar serves Bigtime brews exclusively (which is fine by me because they’re tasty). Food is okay. Pretty low-key. I like it best during non-peak times. Great Sunday night special: buy a large pizza, get a pitcher for a buck. Good place to meet friends and play a few board games when it isn’t too busy.

Rerate Revisited in Aug ’12 for lunch after touring UDUB with my son. Fun brewpub with solid brews and great lunches. Original Visited here on a Friday night while on vacation in Seattle and the place was packed. It is located near the UDUB (University of Washington) campus - may actually be on campus. Sat at the bar and several students came in with collapsible growlers to fill with take home brew - most chose one of their IPAs which there were several. The service was very prompt and attentive and the beer was of the highest quality. Wish I would have had a place like this when I went to school.

(Visited 03/2012): Big Time is located north of Seattle in the University District on University Way, not far off I-5. Street parking is available, and there are a couple pay lots nearby.

The inside has a well-worn feel with wooden tables past the entrance, a bar on the left and a food window on the right. Brewing equipment is visible behind glass.

Big Time’s tap list numbers 10, and ranges from Wheat Ale, Amber, Blonde and the like to a couple IPAs as well as a Porter and Stout. Pretty standard brewpub styles, but pretty well executed all around. A sampler is available too.

Service both at the food counter and bar were good on our visit.

We ordered pizza on our visit and it was pretty good.

All in all Big Time is a pretty solid brewpub to visit a short drive from downtown.

A U-District classic and by far the best place to drink quality beer in the area. The IPAs and strong ales are especially tasty. Food is also really good.

For what it is, it’s great. Brewpub on a College Ave, usually has a decent selection, some really good special beers too, great food. I really enjoy it. My personal favorite bar on the Ave, I’m always convincing my friends to go here instead of Finn’s.

They do their style of brewpub perfectly. Low key, casual, all about the beer.

Fun place to visit in the university district. The atmosphere was the best part about it. It was nice drinking new craft brews, eating good pizza during the day while watching the passerbyes in this busy area. The beers are above average, the food is, good, and the location and atmosphere are excellent. The bartender was especially helpful in recommending other craft breweries for me to visit, as well as giving me directions to them. The prices were on par with what you come to expect of a craft brewery.

This is probably the best pub/brewery in Seattle. You need to try it!
