Based on mail order. Bine & Vine is the reincarnation of South Bay Drugs Imperial Beach. Sign up for their email newsletter and grab some very limited release California stuff for shipping almost anywhere in the US. You have to buy in multiples of 6 bottles so I usually order 6 or 12. Shipping is of course pricey, but not out of control. Packaging is always down with the molded carboard wine bottle holders, which are awesome: don’t make a mess, reusable, I even use them to make my own beer cellar. Service is very fast with the owner remembering frequent customers and giving you priority. This is the only US retailer I’ve ever ordered online from before. Other than this, I’ve only ordered from Etre Gourmet and Belgium in a Box.

Mail order rating. Made a recent order with these guys. Good selection and the shipping wasn’t too bad either. A bit of a delay in shipping and did have a beer subbed out due to the other not being in stock though it was listed. Still, would order from here again if there were some solid beers.

Stopped by after Toronado. The place is nice and open, not cramped at all. I like the fact that beer takes center stage, with almost everything in coolers lining two of the four walls of the store. Pretty good selection of both locals and Belgians. A shocking amount of Drei Fonteinen Golden Blend - cases of it sitting on the floor. Nothing earth shattering here, but a nice store with good prices.

If you can find a place with better service, let me know. Selection is awesome and packing and shipping is perfect. Great place.

Too bad it cost so much to ship the beers or I may never visit my local beer stores again... prompt service and e-mails, flawless shipping. I am a happy camper.

New site, same great service and selection plus it’s much easier now to order with the automated software. Geoi is the man! I need to visit the brick and mortar store to add to this rating.

Wow, can be a tricky place to find parking. My first visit I lucked out was able to grab one of the 15min max spots right in front of the store. The second time I drove around for a 20min before I found a spot a good quarter mile away. It seems they do not patrol those 15min spots as I saw the same cars there for the hour I was there. Anyway, parking can be rough. Inside Geoi has the place coming into shape with a big cold storage selection with lots of locals plus lots of west coast brews and offerings I wasn’t able to find elsewhere. He has put in a nice international selection too where you’ll likely find a wild ale or similar not available elsewhere. If you’re nearby it is worth a stop and say high to ratebeer’s KingG (Geoi).

Ordered online. Website was simple and easy to navigate. Selection was pretty good and the prices seemed reasonable. Good online beer store.
