iíll pretty much never go back here. just wanted to check it out. same thing except weaker as all other binnyís. asked the staff if they were expecting DFH 120 minute IPA and they had no idea but told me to come back in a couple days.

Ok selection of regional beers, some belgians and it seemed a pretty good selection of czech beers. Average service. Decent.

Decent selection and in walking distance from the downtown core. As stated before, verry cramped beer section, but staff was friendly, if not knowledgeable.

I was hoofing it to Rock Bottom after meeting an associate for lunch when I encountered the store. Knowing Iíd be heading home from Union Station, I didnít intend to buy much. And I didnít, because the selection is a lot smaller than the Binnyís in my area. I did manage to pick up a La Choulette Biere De Noel and a Hook Norton Bitter. The staff that was there on my visit was clueless and rude, finding much better things to do than answer customer questions. If I lived in the area, Iíd shop there, but I wouldnít go out of my way for it.

Nice selection of beers at the downtown location. However, I still would hit Samís before going to Binnyís as they tend to have a little bit more selection.

Selection is above average overall. Could use some more Belgians and Germans, but the American craft brew selection is great. Liquor and booze selection is awesome as well. The service here pretty much sucks for beer, but Ive never had to ask for help with wine or booze. Prices are average, but usually cheaper that Samís I find.

Went to the downtown location. Nice selection, but fewer than Samís. I was still able to get a few European ones I hadnít found at Samís. The wine selection is also good.

The Downtown location is by far the least impressive selection that Iíve come across. Nothing too out of the ordinary, save for the occassional random bottle. Still, the best place to buy beer if youíre staying downtown.

I agree overall with the Captain. I've been to the locations in Skokie and Niles; significant differences between the two, such as HOTD and more E. European stuff at one, Fantome and Fullers Vintage (n/a at Sams at the time) at the other. Niles store marginally better. You can't expect to get everything at one shop in Chicago; one of these stores should be high on your list though below Sams overall.
