Visited on Sunday 04/11/12 around 1.30pm.
Not too busy, bar at the entrance but we had no time to check this out as we had a train to catch in around an hour. Had chosen this Binnyís as it was the nearest to Union Station (10-15 minutes walk). We ended getting a cab from the forecourt of the garage opposite as our bags weighed a ton !
No one came to offer help whilst shopping but that doesnít bother me.
Good enough choice but no real rareties, plenty of new rates for me however ! 6 pack mixed 12 oz bottles for $10. Again not too many ineresting choices (Iíd had the bulk before) but there were a lot of new rates for me and perhaps for a first time visitor to the US.
Service at the till was efficient and friendly and one employee packed and boxed our beers whilst the other put them through the till.
Decent enough store but a fair distance short of world class!

I was quite fortunate to visit the place while they were holding a tasting. Around 15 microbreweriess including Bells, Sierra Nevada, Dark Horse, Great Lakes had reps there and I could sample a few great beers. The selection is quite massive, probably the largest in Chicago, though next time Iíll definitely visit Armanetti to be sure, though not necessarily the cheapest. Themore upscale West lakeview seemed cheaper. nevertheless, Binnyís had lots of stuff that were not at West lakeview, think Issaquah, much more Belgians, more six-packs kind of stuff. The rarities are not in larger quantities though, but I still feel that itís a mandatory complement to West lakeview if visiting Chicago (though again, I need to see Armanetti before being trusted on that)

I stopped in here while on holiday in Chicago last year. Binnyís was a life saver for a beer-hunting tourist like myself. The locationís convenient, the bottle selection plentiful. The staff didnít seem too helpful, not that I really tried to interact with them. I was able to get a decent selection of Three Floyds, Half Acre, and Flossmoor Station beers at good prices. No complaints.

Man, this place is huge. Two or three aisles of beer and a large refrigerated section. Iím not a fan of not being able to buy singles in this city, but I guess thatís not really the stores fault. Lots of stuff that we canít get in NYC, but I do have to say itís pretty damn pricy in here. The sales staff made a point of avoiding eye-contact with me and trying to stay invisible while I roamed the aisles. The tasting room looks pretty cool, but it was unfortunately closed the day I was in here. A bit warehouse-like, but at the end of the day, it is a liquor store.

Easy to find location directly off interstate with parking behind and under the building. Large beverage store with the beer to the right of escalator. Freindly assistant with good knowledge of local brews. Good selection. Went home with everything I was looking for.

huge beer selection here, a bit intimidated at first, by the far the best Binnyís in Chicago with not only a ton of beer, but things that are not at the other stores... a bit too far away from me to go to often but worth the trip

Went there early on a Monday morning, so bar was obviously not open, however, it is quite nice, with around 10 taps and various bottles to try. The store itself as an excellent selection of beers from all over the world. Binny account gives you discount (just ask for it at the check out). Prices compare to Sams, with light variations. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience awaits you.

Big liquor store in Chicagoís South Loop area. Free parking around back, just take an escalator up to the store. Good beer selection, several aisles in a row. Decent selections of Three Floyds, Lost Abbey/Port, and a lot of other great breweries. Huge Bellís and Founders selections, but they donít break those down into individual bottles- 6 packs only. Good representation from local breweries- Goose Island seasonals, Half Acre, Two Brothers, and so on. A girl came by and asked twice if I needed help, so they seem to be attentive. A little overpriced on some stuff. Good bar off to the corner with a nice city view.

Went in for a bottle or two to top off our shopping at 3F from the day before and came out with $100 plus of stuff. Selection is impressive, though it may be less so depending on what you are used to. The quantity is at least as much as what we see in Buffalo, NY and on average there is more good stuff here, or at least that was my impression. We picked up a couple of Flossmoor Station, Lost Abbey, New Belgium, Allagash and others. Decent Belgian selection. I was pretty impressed. Did not visit the tasting room but it looked like a nice little spot as well. Service was friendly, did not ask any questions so I have no idea if they knew their stuff or not. We were pretty impressed. A MUCH nicer store than our stop at Liquor Stop the day before. No splitting six packs, but there were tons of bombers and single bottles to choose from.
