It was so charming to walk into this bright, bustling restaurant on Tuesday night. All the beers I had were solid, and there is a good selection of Italian beers offered. Also, I can highly recommend the pizza; however, I had a very weird fish thing here that looked like a walrus and was covered in peanuts. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and I would recommend this as a great place to have a meal near the heartbeat of authentic Roman nightlife.

The last place I visited in Rome and I concluded my trip with a bang! Wow, simply Wow! First thing first, unlike Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà on the other side of the street (same owners) the
Bir&Fud is all about Italian beer (and food). Italian beer and nothing but Italian beer. Not a single import. Tap selection is about 10 to 12 carefully selected beers. All cool Italian micros. Many of them are draught only beer. And what’s even more cool is that most of them I did not see anywhere else in town. You’ll want to drink them all. Then there is the bottle menu. Very well done, not just a list of names. I did not count how many. A lot. You can even take a chance and ask for something not on the menu. I was looking for Birra del Borgo Duchessic (a strange blend of lambic and Saison) that I did not find anywhere in town. A rare one. It wasn’t on their menu. I asked for it and my waiter brought me a bottle!!! You need to understand that the owners of Bir&Fud are not only the owners of Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà but also the owners of the Domus Birrae bottle shop, most likely the best selection of Italian micros on the planet. And then there’s the food. Creative and eccentric pizzas that go perfectly with beer. No ordinary pizzas here. The pizzas really are awesome as long as you’re willing to take a walk on the wild side. You cannot ask for a better and more knowledgeable service. It may not be the best beer selection I have seen in my life or even the best food I have eaten the combination of both, the location and the atmosphere is something special. There are very few beer places on the planet where I’d like to go back as much a Bir&Fud. AWESOME!

Complimenti

Very Good restaurant in the center of Rome. The ambiance in not very relaxed, too crowded and the place is small with a big 1 room. Service so and so and really slow. The beers i’ve tasted was good.

Great restaurant. Pretty crowded though. Great variety of beers and the food was excellent. Just on the other side of the road of Ma Che Sieto which comes in handy.

Nice reseraunt ... not shown to its best ... due to us turning up late on a busy night ... but the service was perfect ... we were made to feel very welcome... nice solid tap list of italian beers with a good bottle selection to back it up... with the chance to try a glass as opposed to the whole bottle of some of them (Baladin Xyauyù) ... The dedication of the Owner and staff in this place is what really makes this place shine.

Only ate there once, and in a hurry, but got an excellent pizza and quick and friendly service. Nice tap list and good bottled beers as well.

Nice but crowded restaurant (thus popular and probably very good), nice atmosphere, very good pizza, great selection of bottled beers (mostly Italian), good draught selection. What else do you need for a night out? A good pub? Right around the corner! Ma che siete venuti a fa is only 20m away. BTW if you want a beer that is on tap at te football pub but not at the restaurant, they will bring it for you.
