Small store, and again, I corrected the entry, not a bar. This is a typical Italian fabric of selling bottle buy allowed to consume on premise in plastic cups.
The atmosphere is quite welcoming and modern with few chairs to sit in a lounge type decor. Selection was smaller than the two other locations to be found just minutes away. I will give it this though, the selection was unique but consisting of some the bigger Italian craft names. The owner just had a friendly hello but never really left his conversation with another friend to see if I needed some help.

Via Pratello is a bar street. It must be one of the best in all of Italy. There are many places to get a few Italian microbrews and German and Belgian beers and BrewDog, etc at night on Pratello. However, Birroteca Bukowski is a standout among all the Via Pratello bars. For one, many of their beers can only be found here, because they are small producers from the Bologna area or from Emilia-Romagna! We sampled a few and the quality is amazing on these beers. They also have other Italian microbreweries (it is their focus) but Belgian, BrewDogs, etc too. Second, this is a store/bar. It does not stay open as late as some of the other bars on Via Pratello but late enough to at least start the evening or when you are tired, to finish here! They have a few tables (converted barrels) and you can stand outside and drink too. All they have are plastic cups. But the ambiance on Via Pratello in the evenings is wonderful and the beer selection in Bukowski is also wonderful. The people here are great too. Overall, if you are coming to Bologna come here!
