I wasnít impressed with this place. The concept is great food and great micros. Well, they have great food, with your usual suspects of beers (Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Michelob Ultra) and an average list of imports and micros. Again, the usual suspects. I guess the local crowd dictates the selection of beers, but this concept should be listed a great beer bar (it isnít).
A pizzeria/bar in Shadyside. It was rather dead when we stopped by on a Monday night, although a few patrons trickled in. Although the hours are listed until 2am, I canít believe that it would be financially feasible to keep the place open so late based on the traffic I observed (maybe it is only hopping on the weekends, based on other reviews). The beer list was not impressive, certainly in comparison to the top Pittsburgh bars. They had Victory, Ommegang, Sam Adams, Penn, Philadelphia Brewing, etc. Mostly regional offerings. I didnít order any food, but I donít think I was missing out. The menu is mostly pizzas and some other pub fare. Overall, this place sounds better than it actually is with the "30 taps" translating to maybe 2 or 3 interesting beers. The lackluster ambiance left much to be desired. It wasnít terrible, and they do have decent craft beer offerings, but still I doubt Iíll be back.
Ambiance was dark and somewhat confusing. Servce was ok, hard to be great with how busy it was. Selection was decent but not what I expected. Beers were reasonably priced. Overall go across the street to Harris Grill.
Nice little place in Shadyside. I had a few new beers and we had a pizza that wasnít very good. Pretty normal place lots of TVs and space.

OK, so Iíve been here before and fought the traffic just to find out it was closed. Today was also a parking bummer. Lots of people enjoyng themselves all over this street but I could not find a parking space. Had to park 4 blocks away. Once inside not a bad place. Small campy and fast fried foody. Eye candy as well. Pretty crowded. I did find a beer or two that I never tasted after 2.5K and I was happy bout that. Well, I guess it was all worth it. I really dislike pgh traffic, sometimes I wonder why I even bother.
Great selection. Service was excellent, very attentive and fast. Didnít get a chance to try the food but the table next to us had some pizza that looked and smelled pretty good. Would come back for sure.
Visited several times, both as a college kid and as a real person. The ambiance of the place is an attempt to be trendy. It is dimly lit, with red walls and lighting that accents the off-centered colors. The tap selection is usually pretty good. It has a decent melange of basic beers (Miller Lite), basic craft brews (i.e, Brooklyn Brown Ale or Magic Hat), and some harder-to-find and seasonal stuff. The taps rotate fairly often, which allows them to almost always have something that is new and original. They also have a good year-round group of taps, consisting of classic standards, such as Hoegaarden and Old Speckled Hen. The food is simple, but good, with a special nod to their pizza, which is homemade, customizable, and good in any incarnation. Prices can be a bit higher for the beers, but they are not out-of-control. The only downfall to the place is the service, which is almost always sub-par in the extreme. Still, it is definitely a good place for a late night drink and snack, or for a casual dinner.

so so selection of taps ... food offerings seem to be tasty but ... too many loud obnoxious college-age brats and frat boy types lurking about the place everytime iíve gone in there ... annoying ...
