56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 9/20 BVery (323) Burnsville, Minnesota | December 1, 2012 Stopped in here on Dec. 1, 2012. Beers were not great. Friendly service. Corporate ambiance feel but still pretty cool. Food was decent. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (300) Tempe, Arizona | April 1, 2007 The most interesting thing I learned during my visit was that they plan to rotate through some of their seasonal brews. Right now they have their Bock and Pook Pilsner. The Bock was nice. The food I tried was very tasty. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching sports on the array of tvs. This place looks a little nicer than the one I’ve been to in Le Mesa, CA. The staff I met was friendly and fun to talk to. Hopefully the Citrus Park location will provide a similar experience. Nice selection of Belgium bottled beers for a FL restaurant. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 11/20 PorterPounder (244) Tallahassee, Florida | August 5, 2010 Visited here in early August ’10. Nice corporate brewpub atmosphere - high ceilings, big TVs, lots of brass and mirrors. Standard offerings of BJs brews on tap - same as at other locations and some guest taps - this one had Swamphead Big Nose IPA. Food is excellent - huge servings and very attentive waitstaff. Don’t come expecting an awesome brewpub experience with some experimental local brewed offerings but rather a nice evening out in pleasant surroundings with some decent beers that are not from the macro kings. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 cheap (136) Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania | January 21, 2008| Updated July 22, 2008 This place was quite busy, cars waiting and looking for parking places. However, there was plenty of mall parking outside this locale since it is located in a mall area. Very nice atmosphere though quite busy inside. A nice variety of seating options such as, bar, little round tables with tall barstools, enclosed private booths, regular tables and regular booths. Lots of eye candy, waitresses were attactive. If you come at lunch or dinner, you’ll be waiting in line unless you make reservations. Once seated, our waitress was very polite and knowledgable about beers. We had a couple of large samplers. Beers were on style and they even had a cider on tap! The food was rather expensive so we held off on the grub and got some at another locale. Like matta said below, this is not truly a brewpub but they got lots of brewpub beers brewed at another location and brought in by the keg | 74 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 NYHarvey (124) New York, New York | March 13, 2007| Updated April 14, 2007 Apparently myself and Matta were at this place the same night as desurfer. It was a training night and you only payed for drinks. Food was comped and a donation envelope was handed out. On to the place: Stunning. Extremely upscale and well decorated with lots of visually appealing wall art and masculine wood accents. It’s one of the nicest looking brewpub/restaurants I have ever been in. The food was fairly good and the beer was solidly decent...actually leaning toward pretty tasty if a bit narrow in range. I’ll definitely be back. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 desurfer (102) Melbourne, Florida | March 11, 2007| Updated April 14, 2007 I happened to be driving by the place being built and got an invite for one of their training nights. Free food with a donation to a cystic fibrosis charity. I’ll fill in more details about the place when they open for real.
The inside is nice, obviously brand new with a gigantic TV at the bar showing 6 stations at once. The overall decor is modern. Service was good considering it was a training night; a bit slow but that ought to be expected. The beers are pretty good, not fantastic by any means but worth a visit for sure if you’ve never been to another BJs. The food is very tasty. Being that it is so close to my house, I’ll definitely be back again. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 11/20 Rustyham (98) St. Petersburg, Florida | July 21, 2012| Updated April 14, 2007 The food was good, albeit expensive. they offered about 8 guest taps, four of which were local. The have 8-10 regular BJ’s taps. I only tried 4 of them, and each one was horrible. If you come here, get a guest tap. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 nick76 (96) Tampa, Florida | May 27, 2007 The ambiance is that of a really new semi-upscale chain restaurant. (somewhere between Bennigans and Cheesecake Factory) I know a lot of people don’t like this and I understand the reasoning but it’s nice none the less. The service was fantastic. My server Todd not only knew a lot about the menu but he was a true beer lover. He even brought me 4 extra drinks (2 ciders, a root beer, and a bock) that were not part of the sampler I ordered. He was great to talk to and gave outstanding service. The selection is better than average for these Restaurant brewpubs. Most of the styles you could predict since they are out to sell beer to the general public but 8 different styles of beer and 2 ciders on tap that night was more than enough. The food was really good. It’s American style stuff that you could guess wold be on the menu at a place like this but both my sandwich and desert tasted really good. Overall it’s one heck of a place to enjoy. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 PaulUnwin (96) Pinellas Park, Florida | March 20, 2013 Bj’s gets busy, food is pretty good and usually piled high. The BJ brews are okay, but they usually have some better stuff from Belgium and the USA. Have been a few times for dinner with friends and always have a pleasant experience!! | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 matta (91) Tampa, Florida | May 14, 2007 A very good-looking build out and the beers are rather well made to boot… But don’t be fooled by the words “Brewhouse”… there is NO beer brewed on premise… it’s all brewed in TX at St. Arnolds and shipped in State. The food was pretty good, but I was there during the training nights, So, I’ll have to revisit the menu and give a final critique later. |
