Visited 7-10 and four other times on my trip. By far our favorite pub and was only .5 miles from the hotel.
My friends and I all treated ourselves to our first Focal Banger upon arriving in town. The service was excellent and each time we were there we had a different bartender. Normally, you’d think service would vary, but not at all. Each one was superb and constantly checking on us, even when it was busy. Tons of draft beer selections and over all the visits I had every Hill Farmstead and Lawson’s on the list. Food was decent, nothing over the top. My favorite thing by far was the lobster roll special. Value and price was pretty good and we left happy each time. I’d probably go here over any other place in Waterbury given the choice. Just such a cool, chill atmosphere with an amazing selection.

Tiny little historic wooden pub in cute Waterbury. You’d never guess such a tiny little historic wooden pub would have such a stellar beer selection. The quantity wasn’t outrageous, but the quality was. Two from Alchemist, maybe 7 from Hill Farmstead, plus additional Hill Farmstead collaborations. I did not get to spend enough time here. I’ll have to arrange another trip to Waterbury.

Awesome service. Had some 8 or so Hill Farrmstead beers on tap, as well as Lawsons and other local stuff. Neat small little place. Definitely worth a stop in. Had the maple bacon cheesecake and it was delish.

Yet another great pub in Waterbury. Like elsewhere expect to find an impressive range of VT beer on tap and in bottle/cans. It’s a nice and relaxed ambiance and the owner introduced himself and chatted away to make you feel even more at home here. Unfortunately I did not have time to stay for a meal but I’ve heard the food is very good. Next time! Another must visit when in town.

Great spot in the middle of Waterbury. Small space with a real well curated selection of local and import beers. Service awesome and food was great.

More of the dive type atmosphere, smaller spot, great tap list, fairly priced, solid people behind the bar. Always has the top VT brewers on tap as well as a lot of other local options.

Visited on August 20, 2014, in the evening. Maybe the smallest of all the drinking place in town (there are two others that I’ve not tried), but the best tap selection also. The pub is divided in two sections, the left is just the bar, the right is the bar and tables. There is a TV with no sound, the music is nice. The is more for locals than the others, but one guy was a bit of ass by wanting to impress us (and maybe a bit drunk to). The service was nice. Next time, I’ll go the left section where it’s more quiet!

Stopped in a few times over July 4th weekend 2014 with Vinny and Keith. What a cool little pub. Two small rooms are divided by the bar space with limited tables elsewhere (3-4 tables). Chalk boards line the perimeter which detail the draft and bottle menus. Expect Hill Farmstead, Heady Topper (draft and cans), Lawsons, Jacks Abbey on draft and probably some lambic / gueuze available in bottles. Super friendly bartenders and the owner is cool as heck. Sad to hear that their relationship with Mad Taco had ended shortly before our visit, but will make sure to try their own kitchen next time.

Literally across the street and a couple doors down from Prohibition Pig. Silly not to stop there. Pretty good taplist with a mix of locals and international fare. Seem to have a think for Denmark, with taps from Mikkeller and Amager. Space is pretty small and oddly divided, but the place was not busy on a Wednesday evening. Service was very friendly. Beers were served in HF stemware, which was kind of cool. They do serve food, but we did not try anything.

Was hoping to find some Lawson’s on tap, but alas, they were out. The bar is split into two different rooms, which is a little odd. I did not try any food, though they have some taco stuff. A chick a few seats down ordered their guacamole, and that looked not bad. Expensive, not nearly the draft selection of the Pig across the street. I did not ask to see a bottle list, though I wish I had.
