Unassuming building in a light industrial area of Redmond. Interior is built out well, wood and PNW themed. Good local crowd on a weeknight. Pretty good selection of their house beers with one or two seasonals.

Located in a business park. The placed was crowded on Friday evening during happy hour, but we were able to share a table with some cool people we just met. A nice beer selection and a friendly atmosphere.

Cool unsuspecting place in an industrial park with a pretty expansive interior that has two beers and a nice outdoor patio. They have offer flights (6 3 oz. beers), with 10 house beers on tap that range in quality. Rarities were more interesting than the standard lineup. Service is very friendly and helpful. and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a stop in Redmond.

Parking lot is a little muddled, but this location is very nice and secluded. Small patio off one side of the building. Bar in front with a current tap list printed on the blackboard. Staff is very nice and attentive. Kind of compartmentalized areas beyond the front and quiet. Nice place.

Sweet looking brewery taproom. Well thought out beers on offer, and apparent the brewers are switched on. Well brewed and nice to see barrel variants. Speaking of which, loved the windows to the barrel room...always a nice touch. Darkly lit in the late night, and I dug the basement feel. Really cool place in what seems to be an unlikely location.

Great place to bring some food with and quaff down a couple. Ample seating. Table service can be slow, but just mosey up to one of two bars.

(Visited 04/2012): Black Raven is located on the north side of Redmond, east of Seattle off the 405 on 95th. The building has a private parking lot.

The interior has some high table seating at the entrance, and a small bar area in the back. Nice brown and beige color scheme with tasteful lighting. There is a chalkboard behind the bar that lists what beers are available.

As for the beer, Black Raven has 6 house beers and offers a sampler. On our visit this included a Stout, Porter, IPA, Kristallweizen, APA and 25th Anniversary Extra Sensory Peppercorn (ESP). All of the beers are decent.

Service at Black Raven is pretty good. The bartender was familiar with the beers and friendly.

Black Raven does not offer food but they regularly have a food truck in the parking lot, and you are able to order in from several local menus.

All in all this is a nice brewpub to visit on the outskirts of Seattle.

The business park location is a bit odd for a brewpub but it’s definitely worth a visit when in Redmond. The interior is very classy with lots of nooks and crannies to spend the afternoon sipping the brewery’s many quality beers. If only they’d open a taproom in Seattle...

Not the greatest location, in sort of an industrial complex, but great beers and a cool feel. Very knowledgeable staff.

It’s got a cult following so it must be good! Black Raven brewing is tucked away in a nondescript part of Redmond in a nondescript office park near the outskirts of town. Yeah. But dude, when you finally do park and get out of your car and tromple into what would seem like the hidden HQ of a video porn production studio..maybe that’s where they shot Keyboard Facials 4? .well, it’s pretty freakin awesome. Low lighting, tall seating, NO FOOD, and friendly service brings me back again and again. On busy days they’ll open the secondary bar and room and people will flood into it as if there were free pretzels and peanuts in the shell....oh wait a second, there IS FREE PEANUTS AND PRETZELS. 1/2 gallon growler fills are fairly inexpensive and the BR’s full time tap list is farily inclusive. Sure there’s a few flat screen tvs hung up in the main tasting area and the seating can be downright comfy, but what’s really obscenely friendly about the place is that sometimes on weekends the tasting room will open more doors to the back and you can mingle around the fermenting tanks and brew stuff. They’ve also got a few clapped out board games and the local brewing newspaper hangin about as well. They’ve strategically placed menus for a slightly above average pizza place (that delivers) on the tables. Their main lineup of beers is solid however some of their seasonals can be hit or miss.
