78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 leejackson (8) Texas | April 13, 2013 A nice rotating set of taps which they supplement with some of there own brews. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 18/20 LuWest (3) Texas | January 20, 2013 This place is a cooperatively-owned and worker self-managed brewpub. That already makes it awesome, but they are also always tapping new craft brews AND they offer brewing and flavor analysis classes. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 phaleslu (314) Cincinnati, Ohio | December 8, 2012 Visited on a Friday night. Tucked away in a newer building complex in North Austin. Right by a train stop. Modern interior. All ordering done at the register, and the line forms from the front door straight to it. No tipping, as employees are paid a living wage. 5 house beers on when we visited and a bunch of other Texas stuff. Didn’t eat but the food smelled and looked great. Beers were solid but unspectacular overall. Really liked 2 of the 5. Good crowd and atmosphere. I like the concept and what they’re doing here. Keep up the good work. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 bleeng (123) Houston nowhere near Beersel, Texas | October 30, 2012 Stopped in for a quick beer or two. Nice open bar and restaurant area with plenty of windows and open ceiling. As others have said walk up service at the bar. Only 4 BS beers on tap but about 15 Austin only taps also. Did not eat. Weird newly developed office-apartment complex which seems pretty sterile. Ok place and worth a visit. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 deyholla (200) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma | September 23, 2012 Stopped in during a quick visit to Austin and was quite happy. A nice new age area that has a clean feeling. Reminds me of a Co-op. Service was good and a nice selection of house beers plus a few guest drafts. Only had an app, but the food was solid. Prices were real nice. Hope to stop in again. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Terminus (278) Las Cruces, New Mexico | July 2, 2012 Ok, so i cant knock this place for what it is. A very hip-ster vibe going on here-seems very liberal and granola. however, their concept is interesting and it seems to be working. lots of friendly staff and very pretty ladies working here. beer is fantastic-all their house beers were great plus had awesome guest taps. I was very impressed by their house beers-all of them were tasty. I would like to go here on a week day when there are less people (i was there on a Saturday). A must-go to place in Austin for sure! | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Mora2000 (74) McKinney, Texas | July 1, 2012 A very neat place that is not too far from the Draught House. They have 15-20 guest taps as well as a number of house beers - I believe it was four house taps but it may have been six. The beer varies from not great to pretty good, but nothing has been undrinkable. Definitely a place to go to, although it can get pretty crowded on nights during the weekend. The food menu looks good, but I have not tried it and therefore didn’t rate it. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 SudsMcDuff (174) .....Manchester United.........., Texas | April 7, 2012 like to hear it, here it goes ... weird vice, not exactly snotty but not very laid back .. . 4 house beers, but no growlers .. . interesting food, got a cheese+ meat platter- the liver pate was amazing, also had a local austin cheese which was nice .. . you have to order at the ordering station, which when this place gets busy, must truly truly suck .. darts on the side and a really nice patio .. pretty cool place, i would go back for sure.. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 KAggie97 (220) Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas | March 5, 2012 Uber-hipster crowd that seems to revel in the fact that they’re patronising a "co-op" (hippie speak for "diluted capitalism"). Not my scene at all. Fake people with fake concerns drinking average beer. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 drowland (142) Jacksonville, Florida | February 28, 2012 Stopped by during RBWG 2012. A nice place, a bit hipster-ish, and quite small. When we stopped in the place was SLAMMED.
Our service was as quick as it could be. They have weird system where you have to stand in line to get your beers or food.
The selection seemed good, but I didn’t get anything except their brewed beers, all of which were solid or better.
Average to slightly high beer prices.
Overall, stop in if you can. They had some really tasty beers on tap if you don’t mind waiting in line and then hanging out in a packed place. |
