A dark small place with a great tap list, friendly service and good food. What else would you want. The prices were decent.

Canít believe I never actually rated this place. Went twice during out last visit to NYC. Sat at the bar for a couple of pints the first visit and then returned for some tasty food. Staff were friendly each time even though it was busy, food was tasty and quite reasonable, beer selection was variable and quite good. Would definitely recommend this place.

Comfortable place, cool woodwork everywhere. Super busy for lunch time, interesting mix of locals, business people, and beer people. Draft and bottle lists adorn the walls in chalk, roughly 25 taps with 3 casks. All American beers on tap, some foreign stuff in bottles. The drafts were rather uninspiring but it was cool to have some Kuhnhenn and 2 Bronx casks. The servers were ok, fine but not overly friendly. Coolest thing here is the food menu which is reasonably priced upper end bar food. Iíd come back to eat and have a beer, but canít imagine coming here just to drink unless there was a special event which are supposed to be very good.

Cool traditional style bar. About 24 taps and 3 casks going when I was there. Wide selection of beer consisting primarily of American brews. They donít seem to tap the same beer twice. I couldnít leave because they kept tapping new kegs. I had a seat at the bar but the place did fill up. Food was above average. Worth a visit if youíre in Manhattan.

Visited May 2012.
It happened to be Captain Lawrence night which was cool since I got to try some random stuff like Hops and Roses and a few others that I canít remember off the top of my head. The place was extremely busy (no doubt due to the themed night but who knows) and I was just lucky enough to squeeze into the bar and order some tasters. Actually got to try quite a bit of new stuff, most of which was actually not Captain Lawrence. Met some really nice people who were also crammed in tight around me. Despite it being that full I enjoyed myself and would go back. Good tap line up, friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

Nice mid-sized traditional bar, with a good location in The West Village. A good range of taps, ranging several styles and breweries, and also some European treats. The bottle list is not really extensive, but has some excellent choices. Service is not the best in the city, but the staff is service minded and seems fairly knowledgeable. As for prices thereís no complaint.

Cozy wooden interior. Friendly, knowledgeable waitress, great beer selection. Limited food menu, but my chicken/chorizo tacos (a special for the day) were excellent. Iíll go again next time Iím in NYC.

Great spot! A couple dozen or so very interesting taps and some well chosen bottles. Didnít eat, so no comment on food. Place was busy, but we found room at a table and got to chatting with some locals. Was a great time. Only small complaint is I found the service a bit cold, like I was a pain for wanting to drink their beer. Oh well, Iíve had tons worse.

The first several times I visited Blind Tiger, I was completely convinced it was at least 25 years old. I think that is very telling. It has such a good attitude and vibe. Their draft list has a lot of variety, and it is very East Coast centric. It gets pretty packed, and even though the food is good, itís nearly impossible to sit down. There are plenty of restaurants nearby (itís Manhattan, of course there are) that you can hit up quickly before going to Blind Tiger if you need some food. We recommend the risotteria! Itís gluten free! (on accident...according to the waitress)
