56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (612) Savusavu, Fiji Islands | October 29, 2011 Downtown location is less sports bar than the Cerrillos location. It is a bit more like a restaurant, though there is a bar area in the back. It was pretty empty on our visit. The beers I am not crazy about. If you’re downtown there are better places. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 3fourths (1082) Boulder, Colorado | October 15, 2011 second floor interior mall vibe. main area is a restaurant, bar in the back, 4-5 taps, 1-2 seasonals/specials, i can’t remember. but i do remember the beer being unmemorable. didn’t eat. low ceilings and dark interior feels like a cave when i want to be outside. | 58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (593) The Sunshine State, Florida | October 5, 2011 Terrible strip mall location and feel, but the service was very friendly. Good place to watch sports--lots of TVs and fans. Beer was disappointing. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 11/20 LilBeerDoctor (208) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | July 12, 2011 A rather large brewpub/restaurant in downtown Santa Fe. Wooden floors, very NM feel, with several restaurant areas and a large bar. The tap list includes 5-6 regulars and 2 seasonals (I found the regulars to be meh and the seasonals to be pretty good). The food menu is fairly extensive, pretty much all Mexican food (but good Mexican food). A chill place overall, but the beer was not good enough to make this a place I really care about returning to. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 fredandboboflo (62) East Setauket, New York | July 12, 2011 Sort of a weird setup to the place, a labyrinthine feel between disconnected rooms, and a very disconnected bar at the very back of the joint. Two televisions that don’t necessarily line up well to serve all the seating angles. Selection was a standard brewpub list with the oddly similar seasonals of hefe and wit. Quality was here and there, some decent, some not so much. I enjoyed my fajitas, though they were pretty straightforward, and I’m no expert on fajitas. Pint prices a bit high for the gravity/hopping rates of the beers. I can admit that it’s not a shining star, but I still enjoyed my time here. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 notalush (279) Denver, Colorado | April 3, 2010 This place was tough to find - crammed inside one of the arcades downtown - this place tries really hard to be an authentic New Mexican place, and kind of fails at it - decent selection of about 8 house-made beers - sadly, most of the ones I tried were not very good - the food was all "new mexican cuisine," which, upon trying the food, lead me to believe that this translate to "poorly made tex-mex" - the green chile made it better - I would pass on this place - go to the Marble Taproom instead. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 wavers1 (40) Notown, California | June 13, 2009 ditto. and ima santa fe native. i will say every once in awhile they willhav a damn good seasonal impy stout or porter, but most of thier regular selections taste like homebrew. get green chile on authentic fare if you go here or you will be dissappointed with the food. there are several better places within a stones throw, look for a bar/pub on the very bottom floor of the same building, better selection of beer and better food. | 54 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 m00ba77 (10) Santa Fe, New Mexico | March 27, 2009 Mediocre Beer. Mediocre Food. Mediocre Service. You get the picture. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 kitschy (60) Nebraska | February 7, 2009 A delightful place to stop for tasty beer and food. Our waiter was extremely and appropriately helpful, encouraging us to drink extra water because we were at a higher elevation, and offering very accurate beer descriptions. We opted for a sampler, which included seasonals - and no regrets. This is also where I learned that if you want both red and green sauce on your burrito, you ask for it "christmas" style. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 NeonLX (6) Wisconsin | July 19, 2006 We stayed within six or seven blocks of this place so I was able to walk home after sampling the brews. I liked it a lot--nice atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, great food and pretty decent beer. Sitting outside on the little balcony is a nice bonus. It’s certainly worth a visit. |
