Thanks to IPAfiend for inviting us for his (and Gloriaís) concert at Blue Palms.
Itís a nice, clean, cozy place inside. Great tap selection and kudos to Blue Palms for their beer bottle menu. The bottle menu also explains the various styles of beer (as do some signs around the place). I think this is a great way to get some folks to try craft beer.
The food was good. I had a nice Kobe burger; my wife had a pulled pork sandwich that was good. The only negative was on the íwings and ringsí appetizer, we got precisely four (4) rings. That was a little tight.
All and all Iíd recommend this place highly to anyone in the area.
The one Big negative is parking, altho there was ample parking next door, it was expensive.

Cant say anything bad about this place...classic Hollywood Craft Beer Bar. Went before a show at the Pantages and will go back ASAP. Great, rare beer list and fair prices.

Visited here for dinner while on vacation in early August í13. Canít add much more than what others are saying. Excellent beer list especially for an east coaster - plenty from Russian River, Stone, Pizza Port to name a few. Prices were not outrageous for the selection (Pliny the Elder I think was only $8 or $9). Food was incredible - lots of gourmet choices. Nice atmosphere - people just enjoying good beer who probably didnít realize how good it was (i.e. not a lot of beer geekery going on). Most definitely Worth a visit if in the Hollywood area.

Visited many times since opening. I dont get out to Hollywood as often as I should but when I do I make sure to stop in at Blue Palms. It is a popular LA bar but despite that they have a lot of good taps and some really neat bottles. Brian has some Firestone connections so they often times have some vintage or otherwise interesting Firestone stuff. Also, they usually have the "house beers" (Firestone Hefe and IPA) and a large assortment of other random guest beers. The food is quite good, the service is also good (though it can get pretty busy), parking sucks. Over all a great place.

13 mar 2013. Neat place. On Hollywood blvd so itís kind of a dodgy area. And walking in with dim lights the place might seem a bit dodgy itself. Beer menu and food quality won me over. 24 taps of craft beer at decent prices, a great menu (including imported cheeses!), friendly staff. Really great location next to Fonda Theatre.

Probably the original craft beer bar in downtown Hollywood just a few blocks from the Chinese Theater. Interior is dark, full of Belgian beer parafernalia. Only a few tables and a medium sized bar. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Chatty and good sense of humor. The tap list is on a projection screen and changes on the fly. Good bottle list with stuff like FW11-FW15, Parabola, and more. FW12 was $70. I passed on that, but after trying one the next day, it could be worth that with a big group. Didnít have the normal menu; they did a special brunch for the RBSG group. Smoked salmon, bagels, salad, scrambled eggs, sausages. Yum. Very cool- reminds me of a classic craft beer bar. Speedway on tap, Pliny, Blind Pig, Drie Fonteinen Beersel Lager, local brews, a ton more that was very impressive.

Has the feel of an old-time city boozer. Very solid tap list, not huge but top stuff only. Looked like a ton of good bottles as well. Great breakfast buffet for us with lovely sausages and the hugest bagels Iíve ever encountered. I really love the projection tap lists. Good place.

Really enjoyed this place. Great selection of both bottles and taps. Some rare stuff. Really nice and knowledgable staff and good food. Burgers at $8 dollars at happy hour. Good music and not too high volume. Nice prices. One of the better places Iíve been to.

Nice place, high ceilings, 12 or so seat bar. 16 or so various size tables. Iím sure thereís a name for the look but I donít know it. Solid food, house made sausage. Standard pricing for area. pretty cool. A acoustics are loud. Glad to get here though.
