Visited the tasting room early evening on a Thursday. The place was jammed, though well organized so it was easy enough to get a pint or a sample. They had about 10 beers on, and they were organized into three groups of prices - both (plastic) pints and samples were available. The layout is a bar along two walls, and bench seating on the other two. Nice selection, The crowd had a great vibe. Bit of a hippy feel, but it worked. I only had one pint (White IPA, which was great), and the service was quick and friendly. Fun time.

Blue point brewery is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon tasting beers. Definitely going to go back to pick up some fresh filled growlers

Best brewery I have ever visited. The tasting room is great and the service is good, especially if you know the bartender. Canít beat free tasters!

Drove up to what looked like a dockside marian that belonged to Captain Ron. After parking on a dirt road besides an auto body shop, we walked in to a small bar room with about 20 people. We were handed a small plastic cup that must have held a quarter of a beer at best. Selection was great, had a few beers Iíve never seen anywhere else, such as the delicious sour cherry stout. They wheeled in palm trees at about 7 o clock to liven up the outside. Overall a divey hippy dippy place, but for free beer you really canít complain.

Totally wasnít expecting Blue Point to look like this. Itís basically a warehouse tucked in the back of marina with a few on-premise fermenters, no bottling line (its done elsewhere) and they just do the kegs for Long Island restaurants. They have a "bar" that was absolutely packed when I got there, though the beer was good it got served to me in a plastic cup, which I thought was fairly ridiculous. They did have a lot that wasnít bottled or available elsewhere, but I spent a lot of time with my coat on in the "warehouse" section because the bar was so packed. They have a cat named Bud Light, though, which I found amusing.

I work about 15 minutes from here and have to head east on my way home, and canít believe Iíve never stopped in. I finally decided to make a visit last night. First of all, the parking in a word, sucks. There is no street parking on River Road. The adjoining buildings have signs saying no parking for brewery customers. The small lot behind the brewery was full. I finally managed to grab a spot on a narrow side street. The tasting room is small and loud. The people are all friendly and happily engaged in conversation, but its definitely a tight fit. The two female bartenders did a great job keeping everyoneís glasses full. Even though I was three people deep at the bar, I was able to order a couple of beers and was served quickly. I canít say that I would stop in here regularly, its just too chaotic for me (maybe its a sign of my age!), but I can see myself stopping by every now and then to sample some of their rarer offerings.

A real good local feel. Great entertainment for a lazy weekend afternoon. You can go for a tasting, hang out and get a few pints, pick up (or refill) a Growler & go on a quick tour of the brewery. The master brewers will answer just about any question.

I donít know where that picture is from, but that aint what it looked like on the inside. They have a really nice selection on tap here, stuff you wonít find in a bottle, and one hand drawn cask to boot. Itís really a rinky dink place but the tables and the seating outside is really sweet when the weather is nice. You gotta stop here when youíre in the area. Yay Long Island! Update: Just stopped by 3/18/11 again. This place pours tasting size cups of all 11 or 12 beers they have on tap. Have as much as you want of any beer you want, and itís all free. Itís like a sore penis....you canít beat it! They also sell six packs and bombers and will fill up your growler. You gotta try the Sour Cherry Stout.

Nice laid back bar/brewery out on LI. Free tasting samples offered for most brews and pints are only 4-5 bucks. Growlers cost anywhere from $9-15 depending on how exclusive the beer is. Can get kind of crowded but theres a deck outside that has a really relaxed ambiance. Really enjoyed this one- beer is excellent and cheap and the location is very convenient.
