Large modern bar in the CBD. Bouncers on the door weren’t a particularly nice touch and weren’t that friendly. Beer selection is good for Cairns, around 4 or 5 of their own beers on tap. Had the stout but was surprised to see it was a mahogany brown colour. This place is probably the closest you’ll come to finding real beer in Cairns but I wouldn’t call it a must see.

Visited this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. You can have all beers on platters, a 6 and 4 platter. Nice people serving, but not great beers. Some drunks. You can get a tour too. Did not do that. Not really worth it.

Kind of surprised I was the first one to add this place because I only happened to find it when I was on vacation. I guess it opened August 4th, 2008. There have some decent, well priced food there and well as a decent selection of their own brews. You can get a 6 sampler of small glasses for $11.99 (which I thought was a sweet deal, especially in American $ terms). There were a couple of tvs and decent music playing. I think they are trying to get a younger crowd in there. Good food and beer though. It was nice to have beers other than Pils and Bitters. Worth a shot. There were no servers besides the bartenders. You had to go up to them to submit a food order.
