74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20
Ambiance: A nice long bar with some brewing equipment behind it, seats about 20 people and tables all around, plus some downstairs seating
Service: Bartenders were decent, efficient and knowledgeable
Selection: Decent variety of the various styles, had about 10 different beers that were average-decent, nothing earth shattering but nothing boring either
Value: Decent prices for the quality, werenít over charging like other local places were.
Overall, a decent place with some decent beers, probably the best of the AA area that we hit

A friendly brewpub with an enthusiastic and friendly staff, from the greeter to the bartender to the waitress. I had the 6-beer sampler, and liked the porter and the amber best, but overall the beers were average. Food was very good, and the sauces (4) were excellent. A good place to return to.

Visited on the way to RBSG Grand Rapids with my brother. This was stop number three on the walking tour of Ann Arbor on a game night so the place was busy. We had to sit right at the end of the bar or else wait an hour for a table. The service was friendly and set us up with a flight quickly. We tried all six house beers and I think they are the weakest of the three stops on the same street (Grizzly Peak and Arbor Brewing are next door). That said, the Dunkel Weizen was nice. We did eat some BBQ which was pretty good. This isnít on top of my list of places to revisit but if/when I do make it back to Ann Arbor Iíll stop in for some BBQ and to see whatís new on tap.

OMG - absolutely succulent BBQ brisket plate with fresh green beans fried with carmelized onions and bacon. The food is fantastic, the beer is better than average, and more mainstream than the other downtown Ann Arbor brewers. Easy city ramp parking nearby, in hoppiní downtown Ann Arbor. Even has some streetside outdoor dining. If you are looking for great food AND a decent beer in Ann Arbor, this is a great place to go.

Great spot for dinner upstairs; plenty of room, pretty good food, and enough beer to find one youíll be happy with. Pretty damn good barbecue in particular, and I personally tend to favor their darker beers. Service, in terms of the bar, depends on who you get, but itís usually good. Downstairs is more of a bar scene, and a bit harder to get served late night. I stop in from time to time to try their one-and-dones and eat some nachos, and I leave happy.

Been here twice. Was pretty disappointed with my meal both times. Service was really bad the first time but good the second time. Beer quality is slightly above average and you can also get Jolly Pumpkin bottles if you want. I probably wonít be back here since there are many other places I enjoy more in AA.

Stopped in for beer and dinner. The place has expanded since my last visit a few years ago. Itís now half bar and half restaurant. Had the BBQ plate, ribs, pulled pork, brisket- was pretty good. In terms of BBQ in a beer place I put this ahead of RUB on state and Red Rock is better.
As far as beer, six on tap, really good session IPA, good porter, a nice oatmeal saison, ok pilsner and bock, and a poor IPA not sure what happened to the last one because the session IPA was quite good. Nice stop in on the Washington ave beer tour of Arbor, Grizzley Peak, and Blue Tractor within 2 blocks.

They do not fill growlers that are not their own!! That is bull crap. it is a simple business idea, SELL YOUR PRODUCT WHENEVER AND TO WHOEVER YOU CAN!!!!! It is not like they make great money on selling their glass growlers, it is only $2 more than a refill!!! It is $14 for a refill and $16 for a growler full of beer.

The Blue Tractor considers itself a BBQ place, but the BBQ here is really nothing special. The beer is not bad, and they do have solid staples. I used to love the Tractor Burger, but they went and changed it. Still a good burger, just not as good as before.
If you love BBQ, I canít recommend the pulled pork. But the sauces are solid. Overall, I like the atmosphere and the expansion into the old Cafe Habana. They do sell Jolly Pumpkin and North Peak beers in addition to their own, so thereís a decent variety.
