One of the downtown BBC locations on the touristy Fourth St. A sports pub-esque feel. They had 4-5 regulars and 2 seasonals on tap. The particular beers I tried (a smoked alt and esb) were decent, but not great. I’ve also been to the tap room location, which has a cozier atmosphere, but the two are similar. I am just not a big fan of their beer, so I would maybe recommend stopping by for a pint just to check them out, but not make this a destination spot.

Nice location right across from the Brown. Very pleasantly surprised with the food here. We had a group of 11 and everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was great. Multiple taps and beers to go. Seasonal selections. We would go again.

Stopped by for a sampler and appetizer. Typical looking brewpub, fairly nice and clean. Service was really good and friendly. Selection was pretty lacking, just the regular line up with a seasonal Wit beer. Prices were good but the sampler seemed overprices for quality and quantity of beer. If you’re in the area maybe stop by, otherwise I’d skip it.

Stopped in for a beer. Located in an older building with a nice large wooden bar with a few tvs. Bartender was helpful and quick. Only about 6 beers on tap when I visited. Didn’t do food during my visit. Prices were good but not great. Nothing special here especially with the other places around town.

Pretty good place. Brewpub with half a dozen to a dozen brews on draft. Pretty good beer, but nothing spectacular.

I expected better from BBC. manager on duty was awesome. The beers I had were forced in. Not a fan of BBC beer.

I must say that I really enjoy this place. I have been to this particular pub 4 times and everytime I thoroughly enjoy myself. Nice open atmosphere bar with all the proper beer selections from BBC. Several big screen TVs to enjoy the nights baseball, football or basketball games. The food is well above average in my opinion also with more than adequate portions at decent prices. The bartenders and waitresses are very kind and quick with service. You can choose to sit inside or hang out outside. You can even pick up BBC merchandise in the pub. This is one place that I will continue to visit on my infrequent trips to Louisville.

My ONLY complaint is the beer selection outside of their own brand. Not bad, by any stretch, just limited.

When I used to work downtown I would go there for lunch constantly. BBC is a local staple in beer and also this location does not brew it’s own. I believe their beer comes from the St. Mathews location. But, with all of that said, the patio outside is great for drinking and people watching. The food is decent at good prices, though it’s glorified pub food. The service is near impeccable. Even sitting at the bar I’ve never had to wait more than 2 minutes for anything. The only downside is that the draft selection, being a BBC brewpub, is limited to BBC. And sometimes their beer comes across watery to me.

open air bar with helpful service and an interesting atmosphere. lots of potential with the central courtyard. the house beer were disappointing, though.
