Visited May 2012.
This is a neat little town right near the water and with two breweries in it (one of which is directly across the street) and several good beer bars. These guys have some pretty good food and a decent tap list. While they had some good national brands I went with some local stuff that I hadnít had including one from a place called Port Jeff. The service was very friendly and my chopped brisket sandwich was pretty good. My complaints are that the tap list could be better and the whole place felt kind of sterile without much character. Not sure Iíll ever be in Patchogue again but if I am Iíll stop in for lunch. Also, check out a bar just a block up the street called The Tap House.

Bobbique is one of the best places to get good food and great beer! It has a minimalist /warehouse kinda feel with lots of exposed brick and industrial-looking metal. Ample room to sit at tables and at the bar unless thereís live music; then it gets packed but you would expect that anyway. The BBQ is good but, IMO, has fallen off a tad since they first opened. Still, a legit BBQ joint and you wonít go wrong with the ribs, sweet potato fries or pulled pork. LOTS of beers on tap and they now do GROWLER FILLS! Pretty decent bottle selection too, in the rare case when nothing on tap catches your fancy. Bartenders are attentive though some know more about beer than others. ALSO- nice selection of bourbon! Great place to watch a game (though youíll get no audio) and great for live music. Eric has really done a great job here and has made it a local institution. Proud (and happy) this is very local to me! Cheers!

I canít believe it took me this long to come here! Outstanding BBQ! I was impressed with the menu and the authenticity of it. I could see this being a every month place, but not more, as the menu doesnít change much according to the patrons I spoke to. But for the beer... I will be stopping in here whenever I hit the area! Dave at Bellport Beer told me that stopping here was a must, he was right! He called to tell Eric (the owner? manager?) to take care of me, and boy did they ever! I was able to sample pretty much whatever I wanted, and they have some great stuff here! I could go on and on, but I wonít. Prices are OK, but everything else here is great!

Was fairly empty for a saturday night, but we appreciated the ability to relax and carry out a conversation (esp. after getting our ears blasted at íOnce and for Allí and avoiding a $10 cover charge at Brickhouse Brewery). The atmosphere was pretty great. It had a minimalist warehouse feel... a place with no frills (except the enormous TV with the football game on). People relaxing, drinking and eating (though the kitchen closed early for some reason). Had a nice, diverse selection of beer on tap: lionshead, sierra nevada, blue point, smuttynose, etc. I stuck mostly to the taps, but they also had a large deli case full of delicious looking bottles (some rare stuff too) and a smaller case full of belgians (nothing too rare, but good for an American place billing itself for bbq). The bartender was really nice (and good looking - always a plus) and made some recommendations. We ordered onion straws and enjoyed the greasy fried goodness.
Prices where ~$6, average for good beer on Long Island. The only sore point was that I ordered a bottled porter and she asked if I wanted it in a glass (duh!) and served it at refrigerator temp (too cold for a porter, obviously). Makes me think that the bartender doesnít know a whole lot about good beer (although someone stocking there beer there must).

Interesting place. Fairly good selection with the taps primarily coming from a single brewer (most recently Sly Fox). The bartend staff was very quick, but they also seemed a little impatient as we decided what we were drinking. My only real complaint is the same I have about Brickhouse right across the street. Generally the people who go there are not appreciative of the beer that is on tap. Why everyone what paying $6 for a Bud Light when $6 could get you most other things is beyond me.

My friends and I visited Bobbique a few nights ago for a great dinner with Sixpoints ales on tap and one on cask. The industrial looking place was actually very comfortable as we sat at the bar and were served promptly and often. The menu was a simple one page, but the meals that were served came across like high culinary arts applied to your mamaís best bbq recipe. The beer selection was very good, though we mostly had pints from the tap. Dismiss the scene rating to the right as this place is easily on par with the best bbq places in NYC such as Virgilís and the Dinosaur. It is simply a great place.

I thoroughly enjoed this place. You come in order at a register and then wait at your table. Live music, tonight an old hippie played a mandolin, awesome. Selection is good for LI as mentioned below. I was highy surprised to get some hard to find 6point offerings, as well as Capt Lawrence. Plus a surprise Leinís Sunset Wheat, where did this come from. The pints are all about 6 bucks, large bottles modestly priced at around $15 (mostly belgian). The food was freaking terrific, nothing fancy but good. Decor is simple yet cool, high ceiling, wide bar. It was hard for me to judge service, since it isnt a traditional "waitor" kind of place. Check it out for sure.

this palce was a nice surprise, though very exspensive. I didnít try the food but did sample a few beers. A wide variety of both good and bad (pork slap -címon). Every beer is way overpriced, but you have a drive a ways for a distributor that carries what he has.

Notalush summed up the tap and bottle selection pretty well. The bottle list was well apportioned with a good mix of local brews, out of area micros, and other imports. For a restaurant that is not actively going after craft beer drinkers I was thoroughly impressed Additionally they have a fair list of scotch and bourbons as well. The bbq was great and came to the table quick, the waitress was attentive both nights I was there.
Not quite sure about the "country-fried atmosphere" but the place was decorated as a faux roadhouse/garage and the lighting was fairly dark in places. I would recommend bringing a jacket as it is a bit on the cool side indoors. On the weekend their is live blues which can get a little noisy.
The crowd I saw while there was mostly 20 somethings on the weekend and an older set during the week. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
